Abstract:As a new type application of XML document, XML Bricks has penetrated virtually all fields of Internet applications. This paper analyzes XML Bricks and shows that, the use of XML Bricks is a simple inclusion relation at present. With the extension of XML Schema, we make XML Bricks have more object-oriented features. such as multiple inheritance, blocking, and overriding. We define the notations and formalization to reprsent the object-oriented XML Bricks. and improve the replication mechanism of XML Bricks and reduce the code redundancy as well as the coupling degree of the modules.The better modularity and portability are here by obtained.

Abstract:Java and XML will be the development basis for the Web application of the next generation because of their independent on the platform and the interpenetration between them. The authors analyze several techniques of manipulating XML data in Java application; research the mapping from XML Schema to Java classes. Based on the data binding, the XML data manipulating by Java application is achieved, and a typical example is given to validate it. Comparing with SAX and DOM, this method has the advantages of double-direction data manipulating and low requirement for system resources, so it is perfectly fit to the situation that the configuration information is represented by the XML documents.

Abstract:As an increasing amount of XML-based applications appears today, reliable and efficient XML storage system and data exchange between XML and DBMS are becoming more and more important. The method of schema-driven mapping between XML and RDBMS is discussed and its basic principles and examples are given. The design and implementation of a schema-driven data exchange system are analyzed and implemented that is platform-independent and supports multiple schemas and modes of conversion. The test result of the prototype of the system shows that the theory and design of this system is feasible and effective.
