Abstract:SOAP is a lightweight,stateless communication protocol which is the base of the modern web service implementations.This paper reports on a performance comparison of SOAP RPC-Style and Message-Style web services based on the data of a real commercial application.And we discovered that a choice of SOAP messaging style can affects system scalability and reliability immediately.

Abstract:As a mature distributed computing technology,CORBA is primarily used to build mission-critical enterprise application.While as an upcomingservice-oriented architecture,Web Services is mainly used to develop internet-based service.To solve theproblem of data sharing and application integration for CORBA-based application,the method for CORBA/Web services application integration was investigated,and then an integration gateway was designed and the key problems of integration were discussed including interface translation,message type transformation and dynamic invocation CORBA object.

Abstract:Advances in computer network technology have brought process control theory into a new field. In modern process industry, one of the key issues is how to solve the island automation. A feasible solution is to construct a distributed control system by communication network. In this paper, we propose an intelligent supervisory control system architecture based on multi-agent theory. The system is composed of user agent, management agent, diagnosis agent, optimization agent, regulator agent, measurement agent, data agent and production agent with different objects and tasks. The implementation technology of the agent-based distributed supervisory control system with COM/DCOM and CORBA standard is introduced in detail. Its main advantages include that it is an open, distributed and flexible system, and it has strong reusability and can be easily implemented with the developing software technology.

Abstract:It is distributed object technology that combined by network and object oriented technology in 90's last century, and it is difficult to extend across Internet. Contributed by HTTP and XML, Web service is becoming the component called through the Web. In this article, we describe and analyze some current distributed object technologies,and then introduce the emerging Web Service technology. We introduce and analyze the two software strategies: Microsoft . NET and Sun ONE. Web Services will transform the current isolated Internet Web into interconnected services.

Abstract:COM is the one of the most important peripheral interfaces in computer; therefore it is significant to do the study of programming design methods in serial communication. In this paper we discuss the four programming design methods of serial communication on C~(++) Builder 6 platform: direct embedded assembler, Windows API functions, MSComm component based on the technique of ActiveX and Third-Party component SPComm. We also give the compared results of the four programming design methods in serial communication, and provide programming examples.

Abstract:In accordance with heterogeneity in distributed computing, the architecture of the agent and multi-agent system based on common object request broker architecture (CORBA) system was presented, in which the agent is the mechanism to implement integration of semanteme and knowledge layer, and CORBA was considered as an excellent substrate for the agent system to implement interoperability requirement. The execution process of the request and its requirement to CORBA and basic object service were analyzed. The integrated mechanism based on agent was compared with that directly based on CORBA, the results have shown that each of the mechanisms has respective superiority, so integrated mechanism should be selected according to actual conditions.
Object-oriented Distributed Software Component Development and Integration in Common Object Environments

Abstract:The component-based software development would allow application software to be largely constructed from existing software units. This approach would dramatically improve the productivity of software development. Although there are many reusable software packages available, the integration of the selected components remains to be a very difficult problem because there are many barriers, including programming languages, operating systems, communication mechanism, interface, etc. Especially in distributed systems, most of application software developers have to face these barriers because of the heterogeneity of the software running environments and hardware platforms. In this dissertation, an approach to cross-platform and cross-language object-oriented distributed fault-tolerance software development through distributed component integration based on Common Object Environments, like Object Management Group's CORBA, is presented to overcome these integration barriers. Following a distributed component architecture which defines common interfaces for distributed components using IDL, distributed components that facilitate easy information retrieval at integration time can be developed. By dynamically generating adapters for distributed components using an integration tool, the component connecting process can be transparent to both component developers and software developers for integration, and hence significantly reduces the development effort. Group adapters are also developed for replicated component groups to automatically maintain state consistency and active group membership and provide fault-tolerance feature in the resulting application software.

Abstract:CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) is one of the popular technologies that can be used to construct enterprise level application,systems. However, none of conventional middleware technologies will dominate the software industry alone; therefore interoperability becomes one of the most crucial issues. Web Services is a kind of new Web application shape which shields from the existence of different middleware platforms and programming language abstractions. This paper firstly presents two models for wrapping CORBA objects to Web Services, and then analyzes some key technologies such as scalable architecture, SOAP/IIOP protocol datatype mapping, unified service providing infrastructure etc. Finally, it gives some tests and performance comparison on top of StarWebService that is developed by our team.

Abstract:In the process of developing distributed applications, system reliability, availability, openness, resource sharing and reusability, etc is very complex and difficult to solve. Resent researches about agent theory displays that agent-oriented technology may be an effective effort in handling these problems. This paper first discusses the relationships of distributed system in agent viewpoint, then presents an agent framework based on distributed object, which could be used to construct, enterprise distributed application.
