Abstract:Belt conveyors are widely used in the areas of coal, ports, electric power, chemical, etc, to transport bulk solid. The traditional design methods have many defects, such as long design cycle, prone to error, and it is unable to meet the needs of modern society. This paper presents a new method of designing belt conveyors, the 3D visual rapid design platform based on the AutoCAD software for the design of belt conveyors. This platform uses Visual Basic software to develop the rapid design program, establishes the stereo models of the belt conveyor by extending the functions of AutoCAD with ObjectARX. So it builds the three-dimensional design environment in which the designers can adjust the structure of the belt conveyor based on the actual environment, manage the parts of the belt conveyor and get the engineering drawing of the belt conveyor. This platform increases the design speed and improves the design quality. ©2010 IEEE.

Abstract:In order to reuse the CAD data efficiently, the paper presents an effective method for extracting mechanical part information from existing mechanical engineering drawings produced by CAD software. Characteristics of the forms in the engineering drawings are analyzed. A new method to represent arbitrary forms with matrix is proposed, which makes it easy to extract form frames. Based on the form frames, the part information is obtained. In addition, a practical software tool is briefly introduced, which can be used to extract part information from AutoCAD produced engineering drawings automatically.

Abstract:In order to enable more garden landscape design enthusiasts to master the creation skills of perspective renderings, this article introduces CAD computer-aided technology in the creation process of perspective renderings of garden landscapes. In the research, through case analysis, the CAD technology is compared with the commonly used sketch master SketchUp, and the detailed steps of making the garden landscape perspective renderings for small-scale modeling of garden landscapes are compared in detail. Finally, an example analysis shows that the application of CAD technology to the creation of perspective renderings of garden landscape can make the creation process more scientific, reasonable, and more ornamental.

Abstract:In order to accelerate the process of making variational 2D mechanical drawing, graphic primitives such as lines and arcs are linked together according to certain correlation constraints to form structural elements with specific functional meanings. A single vector is used to determine the positioning, orientation and main control dimension of each structural element in a part drawing. Three kinds of correlation constraints are worked out to uniquely describe the way of assembling structural elements into the desired part. In such a way, the structural variational design of mechanical part is realized easily and quickly.

Abstract:Two-dimensional engineering drawing has a vital role in the design and manufac-ture of products, but the generation of engineering drawing, the dimensioning and layout are all time-consuming work. In order to automatically generate the engineering drawing, study was made on the automatic generation system of engineering drawing based on 3D parametric model. The automatic dimensioning of engineering drawing and the algorithms of layout in the system were introduced. The algorithms were got in NX UG, and a good effect for aiding the drawing was achieved.

Abstract:In order to solve the problem of the low efficiency and accuracy of the Delaunay triangulation algorithm configuration drawing stripping ratio contours,we use VBA secondary developing tool and combine the Kriging and the new CONREC tectonic grid square contour drawing method and design a precise program of drawing stripping ratio contour line based on AutoCAD.The result shows that it can provide a project developming tool for the geology and mineral area,and can also be used to draw other contour maps and provide a useful reference for the AutoCAD environment VBA secondary research and development.
