Abstract:In the title molecule, C14H19ClF3NO, an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond influences the molecular conformation; the two benzene rings make a dihedral angle of 47.7 (3)degrees. The crystal packing exhibits no classical intermolecular hydrogen bonds. One CF similar to 3 similar to group is disordered over two positions; the site occupancy factors are 0.7 and 0.3.

Abstract:In the title molecule, C18H11Cl3N2O2, the central benzene ring is oriented at 8.44 (12) and 70.57 (11)degrees with respect to the terminal chlorophenol and dichloropyridine rings, respectively. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, pi-pi stacking between parallel pyridine rings is observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6561 (14) angstrom].

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C14H11ClN4O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction of m-chloroacetophenone and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. The two benzene rings of the title molecule have a dihedral angle of 16.17 (6)degrees. Within the dinitrophenyl moiety, the distances of 1.422 (3) and 1.415 (3) Angstrom for the C-C bonds close to the imine group are appreciably longer than the average distance of 1.376 (3) Angstrom for other aromatic C-C bonds in the same benzene ring. The overlapped arrangement of chlorophenyl rings of neighbouring molecules shows the existence of a pi-pi stacking interaction.

Abstract:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(13)H(8)ClI(2)NO, contains half of the mol-ecule situated on a mirror plane. The hy-droxy group is involved in the formation of an intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond. π-π inter-actions between the benzene rings of neighbouring mol-ecules [centroid-centroid distance = 3.629 (3) Å] form stacks along the b axis. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl inter-actions are observed.

Abstract:The title compound, C(20)H(23)Cl(2)NO, was prepared by condensation of (R)-1-(2-chloro-phen-yl)-1-cyclo-pentyl-methanamine with 1-(5-chloro-2-hydroxy-phen-yl)ethanone, resulting in the formation of a new chiral center. The structural analysis confirms the absolute configuration of the title compound and the formation of the (R,R) diastereoisomer. There is an intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond which stabilizes the conformation of the mol-ecule. The mol-ecules are linked to each other through weak C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Abstract:The title compound, C19H15ClN2O, a tridentate Schiff base, has been synthesized and structurally characterized by IR spectroscopy and X-ray structure analysis. The hydroxy and imino groups are involved in a resonance-assisted O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond with O center dot center dot center dot N = 2.517 (2) angstrom. Intermolecular O H center dot center dot center dot N and N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds create centrosymmetric dimers in the crystal packing.
