Abstract:In the title compound, C(14)H(10)ClNO(2), the dihedral angle between the two rings is 59.4 (2)°. The two carbonyl groups are oriented almost anti-periplanar to each other, with a torsion angle of -160.43 (2)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into inversion dimers by pairs of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Abstract:In the title compound, C14H16ClNO2, the cyclo-hexyl ring has a chair conformation. The dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the mean plane of the four planar C atoms of the cyclo-hexyl ring is 45.2 (3)°. The two carbonyl groups are trans to one another, with an O=C-C=O torsion angle of -137.1 (3)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds forming chains propagating along [001]. A region of disordered electron density, situated near the unit-cell corners, was treated using the SQUEEZE routine in PLATON [Spek (2009 ▶). Acta Cryst. D65, 148-155]. It gave a solvent-accessible void of ca 400 Å(3) for only 21 electrons. It is probably due to traces of the solvent of crystallization and was not taken into account during structure refinement.

Abstract:The title compound, C(21)H(17)BrN(2)O(4), a 2-phenoxy-2-phenyl-acetamide derivative, exhibits a stereogenic center but crystallizes as a racemate as indicated by the centrosymmetric space group. In the molecular structure, the nitro-substituted benzene ring is coplanar [dihedral angle = 12.9 (1)degrees] with the plane formed by H-N-C(=O)-C=O due to intramolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen-bond interactions.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C14H11ClN4O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction of m-chloroacetophenone and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. The two benzene rings of the title molecule have a dihedral angle of 16.17 (6)degrees. Within the dinitrophenyl moiety, the distances of 1.422 (3) and 1.415 (3) Angstrom for the C-C bonds close to the imine group are appreciably longer than the average distance of 1.376 (3) Angstrom for other aromatic C-C bonds in the same benzene ring. The overlapped arrangement of chlorophenyl rings of neighbouring molecules shows the existence of a pi-pi stacking interaction.

Abstract:The title compound, C(10)H(13)ClN(2)O, was obtained as a by-product in the reaction of 2-chloro-methyl-1H-benzimidazole, dimethyl sulfate and toluene to synthesise 2-chloro-methyl-1-methyl-benzimidazole. The dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the acetamide group is 89.72 (6)° while that between the aromatic ring and the chloracetyl group is 84.40 (4)°. In the crystal, adjacent mol-ecules are linked by pairs of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into inversion dimers.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(15)H(11)NO(3), the two essentially planar benzaldehyde groups [maximum deviations = 0.0487 (12) and 0.0205 (10) Å] are inclined at a dihedral angle of 72.64 (6)° with respect to each other. The bridging C-C-N-C torsion angle is 22.58 (18)°. In the crystal, inter-molecular bifurcated acceptor N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link inversion-related mol-ecules into dimers incorporating R(1) (2)(7) and R(2) (2)(8) ring motifs. The crystal structure is further stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯π inter-actions.
