The Optimization of Variable Blank-Holder Forces Based on Numerical Simulation

Abstract:A new optimization algorithm based on the numerical simulation of sheet metal forming was presented to determine the optimum variable blank-holder force (VBHF). To ensure convergence,the trust region models management strategies are used to adjust the move limit of design spaces. Compared with the traditional gradient-based algorithm, this algorithm is more simple and accurate. Finally, the optimum results of rectangular box with different depth deep drawing were given to verify this algorithm.
