Abstract:We obtain the general solutions to the reflection equation of the Izergin-Korepin model. The general solutions have two free parameters and will reduce to the non-trivial diagonal solutions when both free parameters vanish. It will also reduce to the solutions with upper-lower triangular structures when one of the parameters vanishes. Moreover, the Hamiltonian with boundary terms for the system is obtained.

Abstract:The exact solution of the A2(2) model (or the Izergin–Korepin model) with non-diagonal boundary reflections of the type I is studied by using the off-diagonal Bethe ansatz method. The complete operator product identities of the transfer matrices are obtained with the help of fusion. Based on them and the asymptotic behaviors as well as the values at special points, the inhomogeneous T−Q relations of the system are constructed. The method and the results in this paper can be generalized to the high rank An(2) case directly.

Abstract:The non-diagonal solutions to the reflection equation of 15 vertex model A(1) 2 model and supersymmetric t-J model were obtained. The results show that solutions of A(1) 2 model' have three forms and each form contains two solutions; the solution of supersymmetric t-J model' takes only one form in which there are two solutions; each one of all those nondiagonal solutions only have three arbitr ary parameters.

Abstract:The periodic Zn-Belavin model on a lattice with an arbitrary number of sites N is studied via the off-diagonal Bethe Ansatz method (ODBA). The eigenvalues of the corresponding transfer matrix are given in terms of an unified inhomogeneous T−Q relation. In the special case of N=nl with l being also a positive integer, the resulting T−Q relation recovers the homogeneous one previously obtained via algebraic Bethe Ansatz.

Abstract:We solve the A2n(2) vertex model with all kinds of diagonal reflecting matrices by using the algebraic Bethe ansatz, which includes constructing the multi-particle states and achieving the eigenvalue of the transfer matrix and corresponding Bethe ansatz equations. When the model is Uq(Bn) quantum invariant, our conclusion agrees with that obtained by analytic Bethe ansatz method.

Abstract:We propose that a significant fraction of the ultracompact HII regions found in massive star-forming clouds are the result of the interaction of the wind and ionizing radiation from a young massive star with the clumpy molecular cloud gas in its neighbourhood. Distributed mass loading in the flow allows the compact nebulae to be long-lived. In this paper, we discuss a particularly simple case, in which the flow in the HII region is everywhere supersonic. The line profiles predicted for this model are highly characteristic, for the case of uniform mass loading. We discuss briefly other observational diagnostics of these models.

Abstract:We study solutions of the reflection equation related to the quantum affine algebra $U_q(\widehat{sl_n})$. First, we explain how to construct a family of stochastic integrable vertex models with fixed boundary conditions. Then, we construct upper- and lower-triangular solutions of the reflection equation related to symmetric tensor representations of $U_q(\widehat{sl_n})$ with arbitrary spin. We also prove the star-star relation for the Boltzmann weights of the Ising-type model, conjectured by Bazhanov and Sergeev, and use it to verify certain properties of the solutions obtained.

Abstract:New integrable B 2 model with off-diagonal boundary reflections is proposed. The general solutions of the reflection matrix for the B 2 model are obtained by using the fusion technique. Wefind that the reflection matrix has 7 free boundary parameters, which are used to describe the degree of freedom of boundary couplings, without breaking the integrability of the system. The new quantization conditions will induce the novel structure of the energy spectrum and the boundary states. The corresponding boundary effects can be studied based on the results in this paper. Meanwhile, the reflection matrix of high rank models associated with Bnalgebra can also be obtained by using the method suggested in this paper.

Abstract:We give a transparent algebraic formulation of our pictorial approach to the reflection positivity (RP), that we introduced in a previous paper. We apply this quantization to the 2+1 Levin–Wen model to obtain 1+1 anyonic/quantum spin chain theory on the boundary, possibly entangled in the bulk. The reflection positivity property has played a central role in both mathematics and physics, as well as providing a crucial link between the two subjects. In a previous paper we gave a new geometric approach to understanding reflection positivity in terms of pictures. Here we give a transparent algebraic formulation of our pictorial approach. We use insights from this translation to establish the reflection positivity property for the fashionable Levin–Wen models with respect both to vacuum and to bulk excitations. We believe these methods will be useful for understanding a variety of other problems.

Abstract:An exactly solvable strongly correlated electron model with two independent parameters is constructed in the frame of the quantum inverse scattering method, which can be seen as a generalization of the Bariev model. Through the Bethe ansatz method, a set of Bethe ansatz equations is derived. In the thermodynamic limit, to study the ground state of the model, we obtain the integral equations for the density of Bethe roots. Numerical validation are done to confirm the accuracy of our analytic results.
