Abstract:Neotame (NTM), a derivative of aspartame, is a new nonnutritive and high-potency sweetener. It has a clean sweet taste and a good flavour profile, thus, it has been broadly utilized in food industry. Its crystal types and crystal properities are detailed in this paper. Its preparation and the effect of different crystal type on its stability and solubility are in focus.

Abstract:Metanilic acid (m-Aminophenylsulfonic acid) was diazotized and coupled with o-aminoanisole, then condensed with bis (trichloromethyl) carbonate (BTC) at pH 6-7 for 10 hours in the presence oftriethylamine as a catalyst to give C.I. Direct Yellow 107. The yield of the product was 85.0%. A one-pot process for synthesizing the title product was also studied, the yield was 5.5% higher than that of traditional process, and the quality of the product was satisfactory and acceptable. The one-pot process was worth to develop industrially.

Abstract:The development of high potency sweetener changes rapidly,sweetener with safety,low cost,high degree of sweetness and top properties is the trend in food industry.On the basis of sweet mechanism,by the reaction of aspartame and 3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenylpropylaldehyde under the catalysis Pd/C,a new sweetener N-[3-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)propyl]-aspartyl-L-henylalaninel-methylester is synthesized.Because of hydrophobic group added on aspartame derivative,the sweetness is 23 000 times higher than that of cane sugar.Furthermore,the method is simple and available with high yield.The paper summarizes the synthesis method of the important intermediate,3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenylpropylaldehyde,with 49.8% yield,which makes the high potency sweetener possible.

Abstract:The 1,3-bis(4-nitrophenoxy)benzene was synthesized from the condensation reaction of resorcinol with 4-nitrochlorobenzene.The 1,3-bis(4-aminophenoxy) benzene was prepared from the reduction reaction of 1,3-bis(4-nitrophenoxy) benzene in ethanol solvent with FeCl3.6H2O and C as catalyst,the hydrazine hydrate as reducing agent,and the reaction progress was tracked and studied by thin-layer chromatography(TLC) method,and the structure of target produce was characterized by melting point apparatus,DSC,FT-IR,1H-NMR spectra and elemental analysis etc.ways.The testing results showed when the mass of 1,3-bis(4-nitrophenoxy) benzene was 14.1 g(40.1 mmol),and the volume fraction of hydrazine hydrate was 20 mL,selected the catalyst FeCl3.6H2O’s mass was 1.00 g,and active carbon’s mass was 2.50 g,and control reaction temperature of added the hydrazine hydrate was 70 ℃,after added finish,the reaction mixture was agitated and maintained at the refluence temperature,the yield of 1,3-bis(4-aminophenoxy) benzene was about 60%(according to the 1,3-bis(4-nitrophenoxy) benzene).

Abstract:This research,based on the sweetness theory,through the reaction of P-Chlorobenzaldehyde and Aspartame under the catalysis by Pd/C,has developed a new dipeptide sweetener,N-[N-(4-Chlorobenzyl)-L-.alpha.-aspartyl]-L-henylalanine1-methylester (NC-Asp). The result shows the sweetness of this product is enhanced 1500 times stronger than that of the sucrose by adding hydrophobic group Cl to Aspartame.

Abstract:In an effort to establish the relative as well as absolute configuration of the trypanocidally active natural nonadec-6-en-1,2,4-triol isolated from Persea americana, the (2S,4R), (2S,4S), and (2R,4R) isomers were synthesized. The stereogenic centers taken from enantiopure chiral epoxy building blocks derived from inexpensive and readily available D-glucolactone. The (2R,4R) isomer gave (1)H and (13)C NMR as well as specific rotation in excellent consistence with those reported for the natural triol.

Abstract:Photoreactive phenylalanine derivatives are well known as functional analysis reagents for target biomolecules. The photophores are commonly introduced at 4-position on benzene. Aspartame, which consists of dipeptide L-Asp-L-Phe-OMe, is one of the most utilized artificial sweeteners, and substitution effects on its benzene ring have been reported. Substitution at the 4-position, however, does not maintain its sweetness properties. Trifluoromethyldiazirine, which is one of the most reliable photophores, was introduced to a different site on phenylalanine and the new photoreactive phenylalanine was converted to aspartame derivatives. The new aspartame derivative had slightly higher sweetness potency than sucrose standard solution.

Abstract:7-Amino-4-hydroxy-2-naphthalenesulfonic acid (J acid, A) was acetylated with acetic anhydride at 50-70℃,pH=7 to give 7-Acetamido-4-hydroxy-2-naphthalenesulfonic acid (B), which was treated with phosphorus oxychloride in a mixture of acetonitrile and DMA at 35-60? for 4 hours, gave 7-Amino-4-hydroxy-2-naphthalenesulfonyl chloride(C). C was condensed with N,N-dimethylethylenediamine in acetonitrile in the presence of postassium carbonate at 35-40℃ for 4 hours, then for 2 hours under refluxing, extracted, recrystalled, gave the title compounds(D). Compared to the literature processes, The process had some advantages of short, stable and low cost. The compounds B, C and D were characterized by 1H,13C-NMR, MS and IR.

Abstract:Aim To study the synthetic process for(±)-4-(aminomethyl)-1-benzylpyrrolidin-2-one hemifumarate,a new nootropic nebracetam fumarate.Methods The title compound was synthesized from itaconic acid dimethyl ester and benzylamine via Michael addition,intramolecular cyclization,chlorination,Gabriel reaction,neutralization with fumaric acid.Results The total yield was 25%,which is 15.4% higher than that in literature.The title compound was identified by IR,MS, ~1H-NMR as well as element analysis.Conclusion This process is more practical owing to its advanatages of mild conditions,convenient operations as well as low cost.
The Study of New Synthetic Technology of β-Bromoethylbenzene

Abstract:β-Bromoethylbenzene was synthesized by reacting hydrogen bromide with styrene in the presence of catalyst. The results showed that the optimal reaction condition as follows: the volume ratio of light petroleum to styrene was 5∶1; the reaction temperature was 60℃; the reaction time was 3～5 hours; under these conditions the yield of the reaction was 91%.

Abstract:The esterification of benzoic acid and isobutyl alcohol was studied using nanometer titanium oxide as heterogeneous catalyst and the excess isobutyl alcohol as azeotropic water stripping agents.The effects of different factors such as mole ratio of reactants,reaction time and catalyst dosage on the yield of isobutyl benzoate were carefully investigated.The experimental results showed that nanometer titanium oxide exhibited excellently catalytic activity.The best reaction conditions were as follows:the amount of benzoic acid was 0.1mol,mole ratio of isobutyl alcohol to benzoic acid was 3.0∶1,the dosage of catalyst was 1.2% of the total mass of the reactants,refluent reaction time was 2.0h.Under this condition,the esterification yield was 98.7%.The catalyst could be repeatedly used six times without loss catalytic.

Abstract:In order to develop burnt sweet fragrance compounds with stability. In this paper, nine ethyl maltol succinate diester compounds 2-ethyl-4-oxo-4H-pyran-3-yl phenethyl succinate (5a)similar to 2-ethyl-4-oxo-4H-pyran-3-yl (2-methylallyl) succinate (5i) were obtained by a two-step method using succinic anhydride, flavor alcohols and ethyl maltol as raw materials, and were subjected to structural characterization, thermal stability and in vitro antioxidant studies. The results showed that compounds 5a similar to 5i possessed a burnt sweet fragrance as well as other fragrances. Compounds 5a and cinnamyl (2-ethyl-4-oxo4H-pyran-3-yl) succinate (5b) had a highest weight loss at a temperature higher than that of raw materials, and a large amount of substances such as ethyl maltol and flavor alcohols were produced during pyrolysis. The 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and center dot OH scavenging abilities of compound 5a are higher than those of compounds 5b similar to 5i and ethyl maltol. In summary, compound 5a has a burnt sweet fragrance, and exhibits high thermal stability and in vitro antioxidant capacity. This work may provide a new method to improve the stability of spices and expand their multifunctional application.

Abstract:Soluble aromatic hyperbranched polyesters with controlled viscosities have been preparedby melt polycondensation of sililated 5-acetoxyisophathalic acid with sililated p-tert-butyl benzoic acidin various molar ratios. By further reaction with thionyl chloride and propargyl alcohol successively,the endgroups of the crude polyester were transferred into ethynylic groups in 78. 2％ yield as calculat-ed by 1H NMR spectra.

Abstract:A convenient method to prepare ( ± )-N-acyl norepinephrine derivatives has been developed, one of which (R = CH 3 ) was an important active ingredient isolated from Aspongopus chinensis Dallas. To full acylated norepinephrine 3 , different de-protection conditions will afford different products ( 4 or 5 ) selectively. The structure was identified by 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, HRMS and X-ray spectra.
