Abstract:Quality of life(QOL) intensively illustrates people's living standards.In fact,the construction of new socialist countryside can take rural residents' QOL as a starting point and a focus.Moreover,an evaluation of new countryside construction should be carried out in terms of their living standard so as to measure the achievements of the said construction.Therefore,rural residents' QOL has internal relations with the construction.The above-mentioned QOL is judged by a comprehensive evaluation system,which includes the contents of five aspects of economy,politics,culture,society and environment and their specific evaluation indices coupled with related weighting.The survey on 1 029 rural residents from different rural areas provides rural people's subjective cognition and wishes concerning the QOL,besides objective statistics.Based on the survey,some ideas and strategies are proposed regarding the major inhibiting factors and development potentials of new countryside construction that focuses on raising rural residents' QOL:(1) improving economic QOL to promote the production;(2) improving environmental QOL to ensure the cleanness and tidiness of the villages;(3) improving social QOL to foster life harmony;(4) improving cultural QOL to make the villages more civilized;and(5) improving political QOL to promote administration democracy.
