Abstract:It is urgent for modern society to save energy and protect environment. But the efficiency of traditional lighting equipment which occupies a rather high proportion of total electric load is very low. Now, they are more and more instead by power electronics based devices, such as energy-saving lamps or LED lamps. For the different characteristics from that of traditional devices, the new kind of lighting equipment may have uncertain influence to power grid. Firstly, their topologies and control schemes are studied and analyzed. Then, the general models, which are suitable for simulation analysis, are proposed. After that, the simulation study and physical experiment are carried on respectively. It is revealed and manifested that the characteristics of both energy-saving lamp and LED lamp are quite different from that of traditional lamps, and may have adverse impact on the safety and stability of power grid.

Abstract:Aiming at the severe problem of energy shortage nowadays,a illumination system with the combination of solar energy and LED source in order to reduce consumption of indoor lighting is put forward.In condition of large amount of ambient light,the solar cells can supply power for both battery charging and system operation;in condition of little ambient light,the system can be charged by the battery directly.Besides,this system has USB interface through which we can charge the battery in case of long-term low light intensity.This system can realize automatic illumination adjustment and keep the stable illumination in working platform,thus,provide the best luminous environment for long-term white collar workers.Electric power will be largely saved with the automatic illumination adjustment and solar energy charging.

Abstract:The application of light-emitting diode(LED) in modern agriculture has been increasingly concerned by countries worldwide with the development of LED technology and the decrease of its cost.LED has many advantages compared with the other electric light sources.First,it has good traits of photoelectric such as small size,longer life,low energy consumption,high luminous efficiency and low heat production.Second,light spectral composition of LED light source can be easily integrated or tailored according to the need of plant.LED light sources can efficiently promote the growth development,photo-morphogenesism,yield and quality of agricultural organisms.In this paper,application status of LED in agriculture was outlined,potential of LED application was analyzed,and key factors that limits application of LED in agriculture was pointed out.Finally,future development strategy,orientations and countermeasures of LED application in modern agriculture were discussed.

Abstract:As a high quality and efficient lighting source,the extensive application of LED light will provide environmental protection lighting environment that has higher efficience and energy saving and good lighting quality for modern society.Because of complete differents of luminous principle,structure mode and the characteristics of usages of both LED light and incandescent light,we need to study and discuss the alternative application.To begin the structure of the incandescent lamp,the characteristics of LED light and with the specific application,this article mainly analyses the construction of light distribution,the structure mode of heat dissipation and the characteristics of the drive power supply,and also puts forward some existing problems.At the same time,the article points out the requirements of the application environment and the choice of the alternative application.These will have more positive significance to obtain more extensive application of LED light in future.

Abstract:Full color LED big screen is a highly energy-consuming product. Deals with the energy saving problem of LED screen, studies and optimizes LED power supply system as well as its control method. It gives a "LLC resonance + synchronous rectification integrated and distributed" power scheme and a "classified power supply mode" for different LED diodes. Meanwhile, this paper compares the LED power supply system which is designed according to the above scheme with ordinary power supply system, and after computing, draws the conclusion: the new power supply scheme this paper offers can save about 20% energy, compared with ordinary ones; besides, if using the new LED power supply mode this paper gives, 15% more additional energy can be saved. Therefore, energy-saving design for LED display screen has significant social and economic benefits.

Abstract:Rising demand with diminishing reserves of oil and gas spread the energy crisis all over the world. Renewable energy and efficiency technology are the keys to resolve the energy crisis. As the improvement in luminous efficacy, LEDs have been an energy-saving choice for general illumination and road lighting. This paper made a comparison between LEDs system and HPS system for road lighting to evaluate which one is more energy efficient and discussed some factors may influence the efficiency of LEDs system and HPS system, such as mesopic vision, dimming, color of illumination. Though the difference in total luminaire efficacy was not that much in favor of the LEDs, LEDs show a promising prospect in the near future because of the dramatic improvement in luminous efficacy.

Abstract:Government attaches great importance to energy saving issue has caused. Library as densely populated public places, its energy consumption is 5 to 15 times the average residential. Many factors involved in libraries energy saving, such as air-conditioning systems, lighting systems and other electrical systems. The library has great potential for energy saving. This paper studies how to apply the smart lights technology in the library energy-saving. Based on the analysis of existing library monitoring system, we propose a possible smart lights method which will be used in the library energy-saving. Effective methods and strategies of smart light energy-saving were researched. Smart LED lights and wisdom lamp holders, hardware and software are designed and implemented which was used in the library energy-saving. The smart LED lights were used in library study room lighting reconstruction. Practice shows that the energy-saving of new lighting system effective. Theoretically for the new technology could bring more than 30% of the energy-saving effect. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Abstract:To compare the luminous efficiencies of different street lightings,it is necessary to establish an appropriate photometric measuring model.In this paper, two kinds of traditional street lights and two kinds of Lighting Emitting Diode(LED) sources were selected for comparing their luminous efficiencies in the mesopic state and photopic state,then the MOVE model was used to derive the luminous efficiencies of the four kinds of lightings.Compared with the luminous efficiencies in photopic state,the luminous efficiency of the LED street lights and the Metal Halide(MH) lamps have improved significantly in the mesopic vision.However,the efficiency of the Hight Pressure Sodium(HPS) has decreased under the mesopic vision.Furthermore,when background luminance varies from 0.03 cd/m2 to 0.1 cd/m2,and then to 0.3 cd/m2,the luminous efficiency of the LED street lighting in the mesopic visual state will decrease from 131.2 lm/W to 122.7 lm/W firstly but then increase to 140.5 lm/W.It is concluded that the sensitivity of human eye changes in the different brightnesses of backgrounds.Among HPS,MH,standard LED light and modified LED light based on mesopic vision theory,the LED can offer the best solution in energy saving.Moreover,the LED lightings with more high efficiency can be obtained further by optimizing their spectra.
