Abstract:Allyldialkyltelluronium bromides were treated with phenols in the presence of NaOH at room temperature, readily giving allyl aromatic ethers in excellent yields. This procedure represents an efficient means for synthesis of allyl aromatic ether.

Abstract:Aromatic aldehydes are very important organic intermediates,which are widely used in pharmaceuticals,pesticides and other areas.In this paper,an improved synthetic method of aromatic aldehydes containing electrowithdrawing groups in ortho or para(or both) position of the aromatic ring was introduced.4-choloro-2-nitrotoluene,4-nitrotoluene and 4-cyanotoluene were used as raw materials,respectively,via enamination with N,N-dimethylformamide dimethyl acetal(DMFDMA) in the present of N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF) as solvent and under reflux,the corresponding styrylamine compounds were produced;then the intermediates were further oxidized by H2O2 under different reaction conditions.The effects of solvent species,reaction temperature and the used amount of H2O2 on the product yield were studied,and the optimal reaction conditions were determined.Under those optimal conditions,the best yields of different aldehydes are 75.6%(4-chloro-2-nitrobenzaldehyde),58.3%(4-nitrobenzaldehyde) and 68.2%(4-cyanobenzaldehyde),respectively with the advantages of simple process,low cost and being environment-friendly..The main intermediates and objective products were confirmed by HPLC and 1H-NMR.

Abstract:We developed a method for synthesizing aryl alkyl thioether compounds via a three-component reaction involving aryldiazonium salts, 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane bis(sulfur dioxide), and alkyl bromides. Optimal yields were achieved when a copper catalyst was used in conjunction with zinc and tetrabutylammonium bromide in an acetonitrile solvent at 130 °C for 10 h. Abstract:An efficient Brønsted acid-catalyzed formal alkyne hydroarylation of phenol-alkynyl thioethers via dearomatization and rearrangement is described. This protocol enables the practical and atom-economic synthesis of valuable phenanthrols in generally excellent yields under mild reaction conditions. Moreover, the corresponding dearomatization intermediates could be collected with high efficiency, and the asymmetric version has also been achieved by employing a chiral Brønsted acid as catalyst.

Abstract:(beta-Organochalcogenyl)allyl phenyl sulfoxides 2 were prepared by treatment of allenyl sulfoxides I with sodium organyl chalcogenolates in good yields. The reaction was regioselective, giving exclusively one isomer in all cases. The applications of (beta-phenyltelluro)allyl phenyl sulfoxide 2d and (beta-organosulfanyl)allyl phenyl sulfoxide 2m in organic synthesis were also described.

Abstract:With allyltrimethylsilane, 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-1-allyl-α-D-glycopyranosides (3) were prepared firstly, then bromine was introduced in to the allyl group with N-bromosuccinimide(NBS)/CCl4, and HBr was eliminated with 1,8-diazabioyclo[5,4,0]-7-undecene (DBU) under ultrasonic, that is to say, 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-1-allylidiene-β-D-glycopyranosides (1) were synthesized expediently by a one-pot procedure from (3).

Abstract:Alkylation of aromatic carbamates with allyl bromide under liquid-liquid phase transfer catalysis furnished the corresponding N -allyl derivatives of aryl carbamates in 63–71% yields. It was found that the cycloaddition of arene carbonitrile N -oxides, generated in situ from the corresponding oximes in the presence of chloramine T, to the allyl fragment upon boiling in ethanol led to the production of the corresponding 4,5-dihydroisoxazole derivatives in 89–96% yields.

Abstract:Trifunctionalization serves as an efficient method for rapidly enhancing molecular complexity by incorporating three functional groups from simple, readily available raw materials. Herein, we describe an electrochemical trifunctionalization protocol for allylarenes that enables the synthesis of a diverse range of dibromoacetoxylated and trihalogenated products. Further gram-scale synthesis and divergent transformation of products demonstrate potential application in the pharmaceutical industry. Mechanistic studies reveal the process involves a cascade oxidative difunctionalization of CC bond and oxidative functionalization of benzylic C–H bond.
