Abstract:In the title compound, C19H6F6O6, the two phthalic fragments make a dihedral angle of 65.60 (5)degrees. The central C atom has bond lengths in the range 1.540 (4)-1.549 (3) A and bond angles in the range 106.2 (2)-113.3 (2)degrees.

Abstract:In the title compound, C14H4Cl4FNO2, the benzene ring and the phthalimide plane are nearly planar, the maximum deviations being 0.005 (2) and 0.010 (2) Å, respectively, but the molecule as a whole is not planar: the dihedral angle between the two planar ring systems is 68.06 (10)°. A short Cl⋯O contact of 2.914 (2) Å exists in the crystal structure.

Abstract:The title compound, C12H9N2+center dot C7H4ClO3-center dot C12H8N2 center dot-C7H5ClO3, contains one phenanthrolinium (Hphen) cation, one phenanthroline (phen) molecule, one 4-chloro-2-hydroxybenzoate anion (hcba) and one 4-chloro-2-hydroxybenzoic acid (Hhcba) molecule in the asymmetric unit. The phen molecule is approximately parallel to Hphen, making a dihedral angle of 1.98 (6)degrees. The centroid-centroid distance between pyridine rings of adjacent phen and Hphen species is 3.7718 (15) angstrom, and that between the benzene and pyridine rings of adjacent phen and Hphen species is 3.7922 (16) angstrom, indicative of pi-pi stacking interactions. The crystal structure contains an extensive network of classical (O-H center dot center dot center dot O, N-H center dot center dot center dot N and O-H center dot center dot center dot Cl) and weak (C-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot N) hydrogen bonds. Finally, C-H center dot center dot center dot O interactions are seen between Hphen and hcba and between phen and Hhcba in the crystal structure. The hydroxy group of the anion is disordered over the two sites ortho to the carboxylate group in a 0.75: 0.25 ratio.

Abstract:The reaction of 2-carboxybenzaldehyde and hydrazine hydrate unexpectedly yielded the title compound, C16H10N2O3, which comprises one phthalide ring, one phthalazine system and a chiral centre. The phthalide unit is almost perpendicular to the phthalazine system, forming a dihedral angle of 87.1 (3)°. The packing is governed by weak C—H⋯O hydrogen-bonding interactions, forming layers parallel to the ab plane.

Abstract:The title compound, C(18)H(17)NO(4), was obtained accidentally through acid-catalysed aromatization of a phthalimide-substituted 2-(1-hy-droxy-eth-yl)cyclo-hex-2-enone. It exhibits an intra-molecular O-H⋯O(c) (c = carbonyl) hydrogen bond and forms a three-dimensional network structure via π-π stacking inter-actions between adjacent benzene rings (phthalimide-to-phenyl-ene and phthalimide-to-phthalimide), with centroid-centroid distances of 3.8262 (6) and 3.6245 (5) Å.

Abstract:In the title compound, C16H11F3O, the dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 4.66 (12)°. In the crystal structure, the mol-ecules are inter-linked into columns along the b axis by inter-molecular C - H⋯O inter-actions and short O⋯O contacts [2.525 (8) Å]. The crystal structure is further stabilized by weak inter-molecular C - H⋯π inter-actions. Abstract:The title compound, C17H13ClO6, is an asymmetric alicyclic dianhydride containing a chloromethyl-substituted tetrahydronaphthalene moiety.
