Abstract:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C22H14O6 center dot 2H(2)O, contains one-half of a centrosymmetric 2,5-dibenzoylterephthalic acid molecule and one water molecule, held together by intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds. The dihedral angle between the central and outer rings is 108.8 (2)degrees. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds link the molecules to form a three-dimensional network.

In the crystal structure, centrosymmetric dimers arise from pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the carboxylic acid groups.

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, C6H8N4S22+.-2C(6)H(7)N(4)S(2)(+.)4C(7)H(4)NO(4)(-), comprises diprotonated diaminobithiazole (DABT) dications located on inversion centers, monoprotonated DABT cations and nitrobenzoate anions. The relatively short C - N( amino) bond distances, ranging from 1.310 (2) to 1.350 (2) angstrom, indicate electron delocalization between the amino groups and thiazole rings. Intermolecular N - H (...) O and N - H (...) N hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal packing.

Abstract:The title compound, C24H32O8S center dot C3H6O, features three six-membered and two five-membered rings. The six-membered rings adopt chair, boat and slightly distorted boat conformations whereas one five-membered ring adopts an approximate envelope conformation and the other a twist conformation. Disorder was modelled for the ethylthio group with the ethyl-C atoms resolved over three positions with occupancies of 0.58 (4), 0.23 (4) and 0.19 (3). In the crystal, an O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond links the molecules into chains.

Abstract:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(23)H(12)O(4), contains two nearly parallel independent mol-ecules; the dihedral angles between the phenanthrene ring systems of the two mol-ecules and between the benzene rings of the two mol-ecules are 4.97 (9) and 8.1 (2)°, respectively. In each mol-ecule, the benzene ring is nearly perpendicular to the phenanthrene ring system, with dihedral angles of 86.42 (19) and 86.68 (18)°. π-π stacking exists between the phenanthrene ring systems of the two independent mol-ecules [centroid-centroid distance = 3.698 (2) Å].
