Abstract:The title compound [systematic name: 1-(7-isopropyl-1,4a-dimethyl-1,2,3,4,4a,9,10,10a-octahydrophenanthren-1-ylmeth- yl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazole], C35H40N2, was obtained via the one-pot three-component condensation of benzil, formaldehyde and dehydroabietylamine, which is a fungal toxin. The two substituent phenyl groups and the imidazole ring form a conjugated system. The dihedral angles between the imidazole ring and the phenyl rings are 70.18 (9) and 12.77 (12)degrees. In the crystal structure, there are one intramolecular and two intermolecular hydrogen-bonding C-H center dot center dot center dot pi contacts. Furthermore, a weak C-H center dot center dot center dot N intramolecular hydrogen bond is observed.

Abstract:The title compound, C(15)H(20)N(2)O(2) (2+)·2PF(6) (-), was prepared by anion exchange of two bromide ions in the ionic liquid 2,2'-bis-(pyridinium-1-ylmeth-yl)-propane-1,3-diol dibromide with potassium hexa-fluoro-phosphate. The two pyridine rings are planar (r.m.s. deviations = 0.008 and 0.00440 Å) and make a dihedral angle of 44.0 (2)°. Intermolecular O-H⋯F and C-H⋯F interactions occur. The four F atoms in each anion were refined as disordered over two sets of sites with an occupancy ration of 0.700 (19):0.300 (19).

Abstract:The title compound, C12H9N2+center dot C7H4ClO3-center dot C12H8N2 center dot-C7H5ClO3, contains one phenanthrolinium (Hphen) cation, one phenanthroline (phen) molecule, one 4-chloro-2-hydroxybenzoate anion (hcba) and one 4-chloro-2-hydroxybenzoic acid (Hhcba) molecule in the asymmetric unit. The phen molecule is approximately parallel to Hphen, making a dihedral angle of 1.98 (6)degrees. The centroid-centroid distance between pyridine rings of adjacent phen and Hphen species is 3.7718 (15) angstrom, and that between the benzene and pyridine rings of adjacent phen and Hphen species is 3.7922 (16) angstrom, indicative of pi-pi stacking interactions. The crystal structure contains an extensive network of classical (O-H center dot center dot center dot O, N-H center dot center dot center dot N and O-H center dot center dot center dot Cl) and weak (C-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot N) hydrogen bonds. Finally, C-H center dot center dot center dot O interactions are seen between Hphen and hcba and between phen and Hhcba in the crystal structure. The hydroxy group of the anion is disordered over the two sites ortho to the carboxylate group in a 0.75: 0.25 ratio.

Abstract:The title compound, C6H8N4S22+.C4H2O42-, consists of a diaminobithiazole (DABT) cation and a fumarate anion. The cation and anion are both located on inversion centers. Both ions display a planar configuration and link to each other through hydrogen bonding between carboxyl and amino groups, as well as through weak C-H...O hydrogen bonding between thiazole and carboxyl groups. The C-N(amino) bond distance of 1.323 (4) Angstrom suggests the existence of electron delocalization between the thiazole ring and the amino group.

Abstract:The title compound, C9H15O6N3P2·2H2O, contains two phosphonic acid groups and one benzimidazole group connected by an N(CH2–)3 group. Abstract:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(16)H(15)FN(2)O(2), the benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 88.61 (3)°. The five-membered ring adopts an envelope conformation. Intra-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds result in the formation of two planar five-membered rings. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯O and C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming R(2) (2)(8) and R(2) (2)(18) ring motifs. Weak C-H⋯π inter-actions may further stabilize the structure.

Abstract:N , N ′-dicyclohexylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate was prepared and its structure was determined by X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbca , with the cell dimensions of a = 14.620(3) Å, b = 15.097(3) Å, c = 16.128(3) Å, V = 3559.4(12) Å 3 , and D calc . = 1.412 mg/m 3 for Z = 8. The structure was solved by direct methods and refined to R value of 0.041. In the solid state, PF 6 − anion and imidazolium cation form strong hydrogen bonds, which fix the relative orientation between cations and anions.
