Abstract:The title compound, C(14)H(19)N(2) +center dot BF(4) -, was obtained by reaction of 1-ethyl-3-(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)imidazolium tetrafluoroborate with sodium tetrafluoroborate. The imidazole ring makes a dihedral angle of 78.92 (13)degrees with the benzene ring.

Abstract:The title compound [systematic name: 1-(7-isopropyl-1,4a-dimethyl-1,2,3,4,4a,9,10,10a-octahydrophenanthren-1-ylmeth- yl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazole], C35H40N2, was obtained via the one-pot three-component condensation of benzil, formaldehyde and dehydroabietylamine, which is a fungal toxin. The two substituent phenyl groups and the imidazole ring form a conjugated system. The dihedral angles between the imidazole ring and the phenyl rings are 70.18 (9) and 12.77 (12)degrees. In the crystal structure, there are one intramolecular and two intermolecular hydrogen-bonding C-H center dot center dot center dot pi contacts. Furthermore, a weak C-H center dot center dot center dot N intramolecular hydrogen bond is observed.

Abstract:The title compound, C12H20N42+center dot 2BF(4)(-), was prepared by the anion exchange of a dibromide ionic liquid with sodium tetrafluoroborate. The asymmetric unit contains one half of the imidazolium cation, which lies about an inversion centre at the mid-point of the central C-C bond of the linking butyl chain. The two planar imidazole rings (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0013 angstrom) are strictly parallel and separated by 2.625 (7) angstrom [vertical distance between the centroids of two imidazole rings], giving the molecule a stepped appearance. In the crystal structure, intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot F hydrogen bonds link the cations and anions, generating a three-dimensional network.

Abstract:The title compound, C6H8N4S22+.C4H2O42-, consists of a diaminobithiazole (DABT) cation and a fumarate anion. The cation and anion are both located on inversion centers. Both ions display a planar configuration and link to each other through hydrogen bonding between carboxyl and amino groups, as well as through weak C-H...O hydrogen bonding between thiazole and carboxyl groups. The C-N(amino) bond distance of 1.323 (4) Angstrom suggests the existence of electron delocalization between the thiazole ring and the amino group.

Abstract:The title compound, C18H18N3O+center dot PF6-, is a chiral bicyclic 1,2,4-triazolium salt which contains four rings, viz. a triazolium, a morpholine and two phenyl rings. Analysis of bond lengths shows that the N-CH-N group in the triazolium ring conforms to a typical three-center/four-electron bond (also known as the Pimentel-Rundle three-center model). The structure is completed by a disordered PF6- counter-ion [occupancies of F atoms 0.678 (8): 0.322 (8)], which interacts with the main molecule through weak intermolecular P-F center dot center dot center dot pi interactions.

Abstract:The title compound, C19H18BrN3O3, was synthesized by the reaction of 2-methanesulfonyl-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine and N-(2-bromophenyl)-2-hydroxybenzylamine in tetrahydrofuran. There are three different planes in the molecule, each of which is conjugated. Abstract:The title compound, C16H12FN3OS, a fluorinated di-thio-carbazate imine derivative, was synthesized by the one-pot, multi-component condensation reaction of hydrazine hydrate, carbon di-sulfide, 4-fluoro-benzyl chloride and isatin. The compound demonstrates near-planarity across much of the mol-ecule in the solid state and a Z configuration for the azomethine C=N bond. The Z form is further stabilized by the presence of an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond. In the extended structure, mol-ecules are linked into dimers by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and further connected into chains along either [20] or [100] by weak C-H⋯S and C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds, which further link into corrugated sheets and in combination form the overall three-dimensional network.

Abstract:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(16)H(15)FN(2)O(2), the benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 88.61 (3)°. The five-membered ring adopts an envelope conformation. Intra-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds result in the formation of two planar five-membered rings. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯O and C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming R(2) (2)(8) and R(2) (2)(18) ring motifs.
