Abstract:Objective: To introduce Obsessive-compulsive Inventory-revised(OCI-R),and examine its reliability and validity in Chinese college students. Methods: Totally 2100 college students were asked to complete a battery of structured questionnaires, including the Chinese version of OCI-R,Padua Inventory(PI),Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),and Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale(CES-D).Results: Confirmatory factor analysis of the Chinese version of OCI-R confirmed the six-factor model(χ2/df=7.368,CFI=0.939,TLI=0.923,RMSEA=0.057,RMR=0.038).The internal consistencies of the OCI-R and its subscales were 0.593 to 0.895.The test-retest reliabilities(4 weeks interval) were between 0.309 and 0.644.For the total score of OCI-R,the correlation coefficients were 0.557 to obsessive-compulsive symptoms,0.426 to depression, and 0.456 to anxiety respectively(Ps0.01).Conclusion: Chinese Version of OCI-R is a reliable and valid instrument for assessing obsessive-compulsive symptoms in Chinese culture.
