Abstract:When winding the gyration,the fiber accumulation on the gyration end will decrease the winding accuracy,cause the machine movement interference and lead to material waste due to the difference of the winding angle,transitional end length and module diameter.Aiming at the end accumulation of the gyration winding,an accumulation decreasing method is proposed based on the change of friction coefficient,adjustment of the trajectory skip steps and adjustment of the transitional end length.At last,this method is applied to the winding experiments of the aviation fuel filter to verify its correctness and feasibility.

Abstract:By analyzing the method of complex form winding,the idea of patch winding is proposed.A series of feasible judging principles and schemes is put forword to deal with the bridge condition that maybe present during the patch winding.Based on the patch winding theory,the controlling program of patch winding is programed.The practicability of patch winding method is validated by the experiments carried out on airplane inlet.A new way for the winding of components with high performance is explored for avigation and astronavigation industry.

Abstract:In the new fiber carding machine,the roller is a key component which determines the success or failure of the equipment.By analyzing the roller′s supporting form,structure characteristic,motion law,the sinusoidal in the axial stress and torsional loads are simplified to constant axial compression and torsional loads,and the mechanical model of the roller is obtained.The deflection and internal stress formulas are derived and studied using non-moment theory of cylindrical shells,and the minimum thickness under constraint of deflection,stability and strength is obtained,and the conclusion of the reinforcement is not necessary is indicated.The practices indicate that the analysis is correct and efficient,and it has reference significance for similar component design.

Abstract:Within the field of fiber, paper making, plastic and metal plating, one of the key techniques to guarantee the product quality is to control the winding tension of linear, strip and area materials. The tension changing pattern and the factors that influence the tension in the filament winding process were analyzed, and a program scheme for calculating the tension control torque was provided. The actual winding results show that the formula drawn is proper and reasonable, and the fluctuation rate of the yarn tension calculated by use of the formula is lower than 5%.

Abstract:Firstly,the tee-shape model is established according to the need to wind the transition area of tee-shape tube,and the winding trajectory is also designed to deal with the specific situation of the transition area.Then,the transition area of the tee-shape tube is divided into three parts and the winding trajectories of the three parts are designed respectively.All of the winding trajectories should be arranged in certain order to ensure that the winding process would be carried out smoothly.The doffing points should be found out from the surface of the meshed tee-shape model by using the mesh winding theory.Finally,the tee-shape winding experiment is carried out after the winding codes are programmed through post disposal.

Abstract:Underwater high?capacity and long?distance communication relies on fiber optic cable and other wired communication methods, because electromagnetic wave can′t propagate in water. Thus, optimizing the design of winding technology and winding mechanism is very important for reducing the probability of communication failure and improving the reliability of underwater communication, especially in the field of underwater vehicles, which re?leasing the fiber optic cable during the movement of vehicles. A layer?by?layer analysis method which adopts the ra?dial deformation and axial deformation of each cable layer as increments is proposed, and a winding mechanical model of fiber optic cable spool is established on the basis of the mechanical analysis of the cable winding process and the end plate. The model reveals the inherent law of inner tension distribution and end?plate deformation in winding process. The simulations of inner strain and layer pressure and end?plate deformation are carried out, which adopt the parameters of spool structure and winding technology. It is shown that the simulation results of inner strain are consistent with experimental data through comparative analyses.

Abstract:Textile Research Journal, Ahead of Print. In order to analyze the change of yarn winding tension in the winding process and the yarn tension after being wound on the surface of the tube, a yarn winding model was established based on the principle of yarn winding forming. The finite element simulation of the yarn winding process is carried out by using Ls-Dyan software. Then the internal stress of the yarn in the winding process is discussed. By varying the linear density and winding speed, it is concluded that the two kinds of tension increase while the linear density and winding speed increase. The simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental results, which verifies the rationality of the model.

Abstract:In the present study, both numerical and experimental techniques were employed to investigate the principle of splicing fibers in pneumatic twisting mechanism. Based on the simulation of swirling airflow in splicing chamber through CFD mode[, the research analyzes the characteristics of fiber bundles＇ movement. The experiment that feature parts of original yarn, untwisting yarn and twisting yarn are observed, measures twist pitch L and diameter d to specify the effect and appearance of twisting respectively. By combining the simulation results, it has been demonstrated that （1） the external fibers of splicing chamber continually strike on the wall and untwist caused by strong airflow from nozzles. Meanwhile, the swirling airflow flows into the cover holder in which the fibers twist and produce a thick knot, （2） the twist pitch L can be used as a measurement of splicing fibers, the closer to the original yarn of it, the better the results, and it also can directly judge the different twisting area by diameter d, the one whose diameter is greater than original yarn＇s is thick knot, and the biggest diameter is the center knot.

By designing a new computer numerical controlled wire winding system for the coil of electric welding machine, it can promote greatly the wire winding efficiency, and assure the performance and the stability of the coil of electric welding machine.

Abstract:In order to attain lattice structure with high load-carrying efficiency, stability of fiber winding composite circular lattice structure are analyzed using FEM. Optimal design programme is compiled with the APDL language of ANSYS. Changing law of load-to-mass ratio which is attached to winding angle, aspect ratio, number of loop stiffener and couples of helical stiffener has been researched utilizing the optimal design programme. About the composite lattice structure of D=480mm, H=210mm, and A=28mm2 of stiffener cross section area; the better design parameters from the theory are concluded, aspect ratio is 7:4, winding angle is 30 degree, helical stiffener number is 51couples, and hoop stiffener number is 3 strips. In the end, the composite lattice structure of corresponding size is made according to the result of optimal design, and is experimented in the axial compression load on the INSTRON1346 material fatigue strength test machine. As a result, limit axial compression load of composite lattice structure can be efficiently forecasted with FEM, and optimal design can be efficiently carried.

Abstract:Journal of Industrial Textiles, Volume 54, Issue , January-December 2024. In order to address the problem of transition slip between the cylindrical segment and the ellipsoidal head segment of the carbon/carbon composite crucible preform with asymmetrical structure during the winding process, a winding pattern combining geodesic and non-geodesic is presented innovatively. Firstly, the formulae for the winding angle and the winding central rotation angle of the crucible cylindrical segment and the ellipsoidal head segment are established, and the fourth-order Runge-Kutta numerical method is employed for parametrical design. The two-tangent point winding path is determined by analyzing the effect of the cylindrical segment's winding pitch, different ellipsoidal head segment heights, and slip coefficient on the winding angle. Secondly, the needle disk winding method is proposed to address the slight winding angle at the open end of the cylinder, making it easier to hang the yarn. Finally, the experiment on dry yarn winding of 3k carbon fiber (linear density: 198 g/km) is carried out. The results indicate that the relative error rate between the actual winding angle and the theoretical design angle differs by no more than 1.66%, demonstrating that carbon fibers can be stably and uniformly wound onto the surface of the carbon/carbon composite crucible preform. Compared to the traditional manual winding method, the winding pattern enhances winding efficiency, ensures carbon fibers' uniformity and structural stability, and provides a new technological approach to producing high-performance composite materials.

Analysis on the Winding Process of Pre-Stressed Wire Wound Orthogonal Preload Frame on the Basis of Finite Element

Abstract:During the winding construction, the pre-stressed wire wound orthogonal preload frame bears the preloading force applied by the steel wire from top, bottom, left and right simultaneously. Compared with the ordinary preload frame, it bears complex force, there is no obvious distribution rule on the surface stress field, and it is difficult to monitor the preloading force. The monitoring of preloading force is crucial for the wire wound process and will directly influence the working performance and safety during the manufacturing process of multi-ram die forging hydraulic press. It uses the finite element wire layer temperature drop method to simulate the winding process of pre-stressed wire wound orthogonal preload frame, studies the distribution of surface stress field during the winding process, confirms its unidirectional stress distribution area and key points of stress monitoring and analyzes the overall deformation during its winding process, so as to solve the pre-stressed monitoring problem and overall stiffness analysis during the winding process. The result demonstrates that the finite element computation result of overall deformation of frame substantially agrees with the test result, and it shows the feasibility of simulating the steel wire winding process by temperature drop method. In addition, the result of preloading force measurement based on the sticking scheme established by finite element substantially agrees with the theoretical value of design, and it solves the pre-stressed monitoring problem during the process of winding construction of pre-stressed wire wound frame.

Abstract:It is well-known that prestress strengthening technology can eliminate strain hysteresis of the fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforced concrete column and improve the reinforcement effect significantly, but the technology is by far immature enough. This investigation proposed a new method of prestressing FRP strip by which we screwed the nuts to push out the steel strips previously wrapped inside the fibre strips. Then a tensile test was conducted to test the strength and strain of the tested fibre strips, the results revealed that the three superposed fibre strips worked well together. Additionally, the average bond strength was gained from the bonding test of the fibre with the concrete. Taking the level of prestress, the spacing of the fibres, and whether the columns chamfer as three main variable parameters, an axial compression test was furthermore proceeded of the six reinforced concrete columns with double-spiral FRP strips, and a comparison was made with that of unreinforced concrete column. The test results show that the new prestressed reinforcement method is effective. The bearing capacity of the reinforced prestressed specimens, the initial stiffness as well as the deformation properties was much higher than those of the unreinforced and non-prestressed reinforcement specimens. And the higher the prestress level was, the better the reinforcement effect would be. Meanwhile, it was found that the reinforcement effect only changed a little when the fibre spacing was reduced from 200 to 100mm, and that the reinforcement effect of concrete column by fibre strips is insensitive to column chamfering. Due to the loss of prestress caused by the column axial compression, the stress of the fibre strips decreased slightly during the loading process, and the specimens damaged with no fibre fracture.

Abstract:In order to overcome the clearing limit due to the cotton wool and cotton fly produced in the process of the production with spindles with the outer catch,analysis is done to the exsisting spindle with the outer catch and a creation design of two kinds of the spindle with the inner catch comes into being.Highlight is given to the design theory,limit,structure and feature of the spindle with the inner catch.Conclusion is made that there are two kinds of the spindle catch.One is that the catch is telescoped on the catch base and further telescoped on the bearing support,yet with poor precision and easy process and lower cost,the other is that the ctach is directly integrated with the bearing support with O-ring seal,yet with hard process and higher cost.The spindle with the inner catch is of free cotton wool and cotton fly,consequently economy of clearing work and extension of the oiling cycle,thus prolonging the service life of the spindle.
Study on the Filament Motion and Joint Forming Mechanism in the Pneumatic Yarn Splicing Process

Abstract:Pneumatic yarn splicing is a complex process concerning the winding of multi-filaments in a spiral airflow field. In this study, the joint forming mechanism is revealed by experimental and numerical methods. The whole splicing process in a specific-design splicing device was captured by a high-speed camera. A renormalization-group k-[Formula: see text] turbulent model was also adopted to simulate the distribution of the airflow field in the mingling chamber. From experimental images and numerical results, the motion of the filament with one fixed-end and a joint forming mechanism was discussed in detail. It is found that different parts of a large aspect ratio filament present completely different behavior due to its flexibility. The free-end of the filament is wound around the opposite yarn under the impact of circumferential airflow. Meanwhile, the bending deformation occurs at the middle part of the filament owing to the strong impact of the injecting airflow, and then it is dragged toward the fixed-end of the filament by axial airflow to prevent the forming of a joint. It is believed that the initial overlapping length has a decisive role in the forming of the splice joint. A proper overlapping length is of benefit to achieve enough winding loops at the free-end of the filament to resist the dragging force exerted by axial airflow and obtain a successful splice subsequently. The splicing experiments with different overlapping length and inlet pressure were conducted to verify the correctness of this analysis.
A New Fiber Winding Precisiong Tension Control System

Abstract:Winding molding is a commonly-used molding method for composite fiber materials, in which the fiber winding tension is an important parameter, since the winding tension directly influences the quality of winded products, making winding tension control a key technique in fiber winding. A new type closed-loop tension control system, with PLC as the main controller, the industrial control computer as the upper-host, alternating numeric servo-electromotor and air cylinder as the actuators, equipped with the angle sensor of real time feedback filament tension change is designed. On the basis of study on the swing bar, the mathematical model of the scheme is established. Tension control in the fiber winding process is validated, combined with NC winding machine. Experimental results proved that the principle of the design scheme is right with tension deviation less than 4 per, response time about 0.35 s and thus well meets the requirements of the system.
