Abstract:Morale” is an important concept to form Wang Guo-wei's aesthetic system in the book of Ren Jian Ci Hua. By the analysis of “Qi”, “Xiang” and “morale”, we can conclude that Wang Guo-wei's “morale” is the quantized concept of realm, which meaning is the deep degree of realm, and is correlative to the main body's culture.

Abstract:Wang Yang-ming's theory and his aesthetics reformed the traditional Confucianism in the sense that it elevated the inquiry of the human mind in its original substance sense. Within the Neo-Confucianism, WANG Yang-ming converted Zhu Xi's concept of ″the reason of the heaven″(Tianli) into that of ″the internal conscience″(Liangzhi), advocating exploring the relationship between human beings and the physical world from the perspective of the substance of the human mind; ″the internal conscience″ exists in its original substance (Benti) sense prior to human mind, while the attainment of the former depends much on culture or mind self-education, i.e. effort (Gongfu). The two categories are mutually dependent and indispensable, which form a unified organic structure.To sum up, Wang Yang-ming's aesthetics emphasizes the original substance of human mind; the unity between the objective world and the perceiver, the former cannot exist without the latter; the appreciation of the beautiful things cannot be finalized without the human mind; a sense of beauty can be realized only through intuition, subjective experience and happiness of the mind; the capability of appreciating the beautiful things can only be cultivated through simultaneous practical experience and aesthetic education. This kind of approach to aesthetics does not distinguish the subject and the object, or the perceiver and the world; neither does it separate reason from experience. Unlike the Western aesthetics, it does not treat the physical world as the main object of inquiry without the involvement of the human life.Wang Yang-ming's philosophy focuses on ″the effort of the mind″. According to his theory, conscience reveals itself truly and vividly through an exploring experience of the human innate moral nature and its instinctive realization triggered by a specific situation. This ″effort of the mind″ flavours Wang Yang-ming's aesthetics with life instinct and direct sense perception: his aesthetic perspective is based on mental experience incited by a particular situation; his aesthetic approach is instinctive realization which is not absolute, not ready at hand, and with no handicap of the theory that views reason as intrinsic and constant; and finally, his aesthetic ideology eventually converts from ethical aesthetics of reasonning of Neo-Confucianism to the aesthetics of mental experience.

Abstract:The moral subjectivity and self-consciousness of human per se which illustrated by Confucius, is developed and transformed by his early heritors. One of the most prominent results is that moral custom and behaviors of human are considered on the combination of the "internal" foundation and the "physical" appearance of human. Abstract:From text to image with the method ofDebate Between Words and Meaningof metaphysics in the Wei and Jin dynasties, the original meaning of Guo Xiang’s self-transformation in the realm of xuan-ming could be regarded as followings: each of the individual motions and changes according to it-self nature, which was called Du-hua（Self-transformation）;and the phenomenal world, infinitely complicated and ever-changing,was formed by the relationship network interweaving of countless individual motions. If we probe into the ultimate motivation of its motions and changes, whether from the outside or from the inside, we will face a vague scene, which was called Xuan-ming or the Realm of Xuan-ming. From the perspective of Ben-mo and Ti-Yong thoughts, the aggregation of the personality of all things could be regarded as the ontology of the phenomenal world, so Guo Xiang’s thought could be called nature ontology. The purpose of Guo Xiang’s idea was to deny the theory of Destiny（the origin of the universe） and the Divine right of the king, and took the needs of human nature as the basis of the social system, so as to identify the principal political position of the people, and laid a philosophical foundation for the theory and practice of autonomy of scholarly society in the Wei and Jin dynasties.

Abstract:The downfall of the Ming Dynasty is not only the breakout of economic and political crisis in traditional Chinese society,but also the result of moral crisis.With a historical consciousness,Gu Yanwu deeply reflected the lessons from the downfall of the Ming Dynasty and devoted himself to exploring the way to reconstruct Chinese moral civilization.His moral and ethics ideology has three important features:1).He criticized the traditional negative nationality in a comprehensive way for the first time.2).He proposed a moral limit.3).He a advocated the freedom of personality.All these are the modern factors in Gu Yanwu's ethics and moral ideology,and they are the signs of traditional Chinese ethics to transit into a realistic one.

Abstract:In contemporary China,with the social transformation accelerated,the interpersonal relations have been greatly expanded. In particular,the gradual popularization of the Internet and the rapid development in the Internet technology and self-media has brought about tremendous changes in the content and form of interpersonal interactions. Accordingly,the openness,interactivity and heterogeneity of people's social life have been greatly enhanced and there is an explosion of the influence of virtual society formed in the cyberspace on the public sphere. The area which is the first to have surely felt the impact of these changes is morality. It is a common and basic desire for the people in a community to live a moral life so that moral judgments form an important force promoting the social development. Moral criticism is usually the prelude to other criticisms and at the same time becomes the driving force for the pursuit of a purified moral life. However,if the moral judgment goes to the extreme of pan-moralization,many issues outside the sphere of morality will be moralized and the abuse of morality will be inevitable. Therefore,the key to the construction of morality in the new era is to first define the boundaries of morality,i.e. to make an explicit definition of the sphere for people's moral practice. To achieve this purpose,it is necessary to stick to the scientific Marxist concept of moral criticism, make moral criticism scientific and based on the facts,enable the moral criticism to fully play its guiding role, and seek the establishment of the common interest mechanism in a society characterized by different interests and pursuits so as to lay a solid foundation for the reestablishment of moral order.

Abstract:In the process of Mou zongsan' s philosophical exploration,the theory of innate moral mind self-negation have three significances which in epistemology, historical-cultural philosophy and ontology separately. The syntheses in ontology and the 'moral practice’ definition made this theory deepen, but also entangled by cultural appeal and philosophical exploration. Due to the special definition of 'self-negation’, this theory differs from Hegel' s Spirit dialectic development and transforms Kant' s 'transcendental distinction’ theoretical formation, revealing the connotation of 'radical idealism’.

Abstract:Wang Fuzhi integrated the initiative,the originality,and the unity of energeticness and gentleness represented by the Qian diagram with natural law,aiming at constituting an energetic and autonomous ontology,in opposition to the void of Buddhism and Taoism.In the elaboration of the four virtues of yuan,heng,li and zhen(creation,prosperity,harmony and uprightness),Wang energetically erected the theory that the four virtues of Ren,Yi,Li and Xin(benevolence,righteousness,propriety and honesty) are virtuous,but Zhi(wisdom) is not a virtue,thus opposing such common practice of society as thinking only oneself wise,being artfully intelligent,and being in favour of wisdom instead of virtues.Wang emphasized Qian's character of being beneficial to everything in the world,and regarded it as a natural coherence of life opportunity inherent in natural law,and applied it in opposition to utilitarianism.The two aspects of Wang's interpretation on the Qian diagram embodied how Wang summed up the historical lessons drawn from the decline of the Ming Dynasty,and how he intended to rebuild an energetic and realistic Chinese culture.

Abstract:Wang Yangming argues that the life state of a virtuous person is “forming one body with Heaven, Earth and the myriad things.” For instance, in watching a child fall into a well, he cannot help feeling alarmed and commiserate; In observing the pitiful cries and frightened appearance of animals, he cannot help feeling “unable to bear” their suffering; In seeing plants destroyed or tiles shattered, he cannot help but feel pity and regret and so forth. At the same time, he also stresses that there is a natural order of values with the help of which a human being deals with the myriad things, namely the natural principles of order within the realm of liang zhi. From a practical perspective, Yangming integrated these two aspects into a spontaneously psychological self-consciousness and an intuition of judgment and choice. Under its direction and instruction, human beings cannot only generally care for the myriad things, but also make reasonable use of them. Therefore, the significant reference to “the natural principles of order within the realm of liang zhi” involves the harmony between nature and human beings from life state to ecological consciousness.

Abstract:Lin Zhao’en is a folk religionist and ideologist in the late Ming Dynasty, who is influenced by Yangmingism. His practical theory on spiritual cultivation is widely influential, where he has thousands of followers up to now. He emphasis on the practice of Ge Wu, the concept of ‘The Great Learning,’ where the word ‘wu’ in ge-wu refers to ‘things in mind’ meaning the turn of wills. The ‘turn of wills’ refers to the psychological phenomenon of cognitive fusion, describing the relationship between an agent and their wills. The negative impact of the turn of wills, lies in the cognitive fusion between the people and their self-concept (conceptualized self), especially when dealing with external objects, which makes the perceptual function of the mind challenging to operate normally, further reduces the psychological flexibility of the mind. He also classifies ‘things in mind’ into three types, which are desires, biases, and the practice of deliberately doing good. This paper will discuss on the Lin Zhao’en practical theory and the concept of Ge Wu.
