Abstract:The study on the fundamental theory of library and information science abroad has paid more attention to the new need and existing problems of practice, which include evidence based policy and practice, theory of information retrieva, theory of information system design, and cross-field study. Introducing the theory from other fields, concentrating on the theory of information retrieval and information system design, as well as applying the theory of library and information science to other fields are the main features of the study on the theory of library and information science abroad in 2007.
