Abstract:The tenth cross-straits conference on Library and Information science was held successfully at Nanjing University in July 5-6,2010.The conference essays can be classified into five topics: research on the history of Library and Information Science education,research on Library and Information Science education,theoretical study on Library and Information Science,practical study on Library and Information Science,the application of bibliometrics,new technologies and new methods in Library and Information Science.From analyzing the main contents of the conference essays,the result shows five features: research innovation,research for use,based on academic standards,empirical research became the mainstream,papers supported by fund accounted for a considerable proportion.
