Abstract:Based on 10378 information science research papers included in the Chinese Social Science Citation Index during the 12th Five-Year Plan, by adopting the principles and methods of informetrics, this paper provides a com-prehensive analysis of the research situation of domestic information science during the 12th Five-Year Plan. The core research institutions are verified, research team leaders and young talents are confirmed, hot domains and re-search fronts are defined, and leading papers are determined.

Abstract:By using content analysis method based on word frequency analysis,this paper defines and analyzes the emphasises of information science research in China and over the world in 2004.From the analysis result,we can find that network,information technology,information retrieval,knowledge and knowledge management,information service,information system,data and database,management and so on are the common emphasises domain of information science research in China and over the world in 2004.In comparison with 2003,the research emphasises are continuous as well as changeable.And the trends of emphasises of information science research are technological,network,theoretical,practical and scientific.

Abstract:Numbers of Chinese international papers in Library &Information science is growing rapidly,but the citation is relatively low(especially mainland China).Distributions of journals and institutions show obvious concentration and scatteration trends,while distributions of keywords and authors are relatively scattered.Research focus include information retrieval,E-commerce,knowledge management,resource sharing,digital libraries,and informetrics.The main cooperating countries is USA.Minewhile,the cooperation fieldsand strength need to be further increased.

Abstract:In this paper,informatrics,content analysis,social network analysis and other methods are used to analyze the annual and journal distribution of the academic articles in information science in China in the past 30 years.These articles are collected from the "China Periodical Database" according to the keywords in information science listed in "Chinese Classified Thesaurus" and the special data of information science in this Database.And our analysis shows that the chronological distribution of the papers is in line with the logical ascending curve,and the journal distribution is in accordance with Bradford's Law in a five-year period.

Abstract:Based on Chinese journal databases and CSSCI,using bibliometric methods,taking Information Science 2003 to 2008 as an example,this paper performs a quantitative survey on published papers,citations.An example from 2003 to 2007 of this journal is also used for cited,reader and impact factor statistics in this article.It demonstrates the academic level and impact of this magazine in China.An objective basis for the development of the journal is hoped.

Abstract:Based on Social Science Citation Index( SSCI) database in the Web of Science( Wo S) database platform,by using the bibliometric method,this paper made statistical analysis of the academic papers( including original articles and reviews) published by Chinese academic institutions in the field of Information Science and Library Science during the period from 2004 to 2014,then analyzed and assessed the the international academic influences of institutions according to the number of published papers,citation frequencies of the papers,h- index and international cooperation.

Abstract:This is the fifteenth annual bibliographies in the survey series on image engineering in China.The purpose of this survey work is mainly to capture the up-to-date development of image engineering in China,to provide a convenient means of literature searching facility for readers working in related areas,and to supply a useful reference for the editors of journals and potential authors of papers.Considering the wide distribution of related publications in China,1008 references on image engineering research and technique are selected carefully from 3604 research papers published in 134 issues of a set of 15 Chinese journals.These 15 journals are considered as important journals in which papers concerning image engineering have higher quality.Those selected references are classified first into 5 categories(image processing,image analysis,image understanding,technique application and survey),and then into 23 specialized classes according to their main contents(same as last year).Some analysis and discussions about the statistics made on the results of classifications by journal and by category are also presented.This work shows a general and off-the-shelf picture of the various progresses of image engineering in China in 2009,it should be pointed out particularly that,in 2009 the number of research papers for image engineering,published in the above 15 journals still maintains an increase and attends a new high stage in the history.A strong tendency of continuing development of image engineering in China is clearly visible.In addition,taking the opportunity of 15th year of survey,some further statistics and analyses on the selections of publications and numbers of publications in all categories are provided on the basis of dividing the 15 years into three five-year separately.Thus,the readers could obtain even more complete and reliable information than before.

Abstract:The article uses the network survey,the literature review and comparative analysis method to collect some scientific research projects of the United States iSchool institutions in recent three years, and search some academic papers published in the core journals of the field of information science from the Web of Science and CNKI databases over the past three years. Then this paper analyzes the research hotspot and the future development trend in the field of information science both at home and abroad and compares the similarities and differences between them in order to provide new perspectives for information science researchers. The results show that, Internet public opinion, infor-matics in the context of big data, knowledge discovery and information service, social media user information behav-ior, network information security have become the hotspots and forefront issues in information science research.
Statistics Analysis on Dissertation Research Hotspots of China's Information Science in Recent Decades

Abstract:Several information science analysis methods,such as co-word clustered analysis,multi-dimensional scaling analysis,social network analysis,are adopted to analyze the widely used keywords of information science dissertations from 2001 to 2010 statistically.The study finds that the research topics of information science dissertations in China can be mainly divided into four research groups,including library information service,information retrieval and technology,competitive intelligence and intellectual property,information technology and application.Among them the research fields such as knowledge management,e-commerce,competitive intelligence,are the hotspots of dissertation researches.All of these reveal the weak links of China's information science dissertations,such as narrow research range,weakness of mutual infiltration with other disciplines.And the possible new research hotspots of Information Science are predicted.
