Abstract:Objective:To determine the contents of secnidazole tablets by RP-HPLC.Methods:The chromato- graphic column was Agilent zorbox SB-C_(18)(250 mm×4.6 mm,5μm)with acetonirile-0.05 mol·L~(-1)potassi- um dihydrogen phosphate(15:85)as the mobile phase,the detection wavelength was 311 nm and the flow rate was 0.8 mL·min~(-1),the amount of injection was 20μL.Results:The calibration curves of secnidazole were linear in the range of 0.2-2μg,the average recovery was 99.7%(n=9).Conclusion:The method is simple and accurate, sensible and reproducible,which can be used for the determination both the raw material and preparations and of the quality control of secnidazole tablets.
