Pilot-scale Treatment of LCD Organic Wastewater by MBR and RO Combined Process

Abstract:The treatment effect and operational stability of MBR/RO combined process for treating LCD organic wastewater were studied.The results showed that when the influent pH,COD,TP,TN,NH+4-N and turbidity were 9.63,569 mg/L,1.54 mg/L,98 mg/L,6.15 mg/L and 2.58 NTU,the effluent indices were 6.43 to 7.59,≤14 mg/L,≤0.05 mg/L,≤1.49 mg/L,≤0.42 mg/L and ≤0.20 NTU,meeting the Ⅳ criteria specified in the Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water(GB 3838-2002).Anoxic reaction in the A/O bio-reactor played a major role in COD degradation and TN conversion,the removal rates of COD and TN were 67% and 54%,respectively.During the test,permeate flux of UF and RO units was stable,TMP of UF unit and operating pressure of RO unit were less than 7 kPa and 1.3 MPa,respectively.Both units operated stably.
