Abstract:We introduce generalised triple homomorphism between Jordan Banach triple systems as a concept which extends the notion of generalised homomorphism between Banach algebras given by Jarosz and Johnson in 1985 and 1987, respectively. We prove that every generalised triple homomorphism between JB$^*$-triples is automatically continuous. When particularised to C$^*$-algebras, we rediscover one of the main theorems established by Johnson. We shall also consider generalised triple derivations from a Jordan Banach triple $E$ into a Jordan Banach triple $E$-module, proving that every generalised triple derivation from a JB$^*$-triple $E$ into $E^*$ is automatically continuous.

Abstract:In this paper we study ternary algebras of third-order hypermatrices. By hypermatrix we mean a complex-valued variable with three indices, which is also called a three-dimensional matrix or spatial matrix. We assume that a hypermatrix is defined in three-dimensional Euclidean space and when this space is rotated, it transforms as a SO(3)-tensor. We consider two ternary multiplications of hypermatrices, which have the property of generalized associativity. We explore the geometric meaning of two independent SO(3)-invariants of hypermatrices and show that one of them defines a Hermitian metric. We study the 10-dimensional subspace of hypermatrices, known in the theory of representations of the rotation group, as the space of the weight 2 tensor representation of the rotation group. It is proved that the elements of this subspace that satisfy the regularity condition are right biunits of the ternary algebra of hypermatrices. The motivation for studying biunits of ternary algebra of hypermatrices was a ternary generalization of the Pauli exclusion principle.

Abstract:In this paper we establish the stability of Jensen's functional equation on some classes of groups. We prove that Jensen equation is stable on noncommutative groups such as metabelian groups and $T(2, K)$, where $K$ is an arbitrary commutative field with characteristic different from two. We also prove that any group $A$ can be embedded into some group $G$ such that the Jensen functional equation is stable on $G$.

Abstract:In this paper, we give some construction about ternary Jordan algebras at first. Next we study relationships between generalized derivations, quasiderivations and centroids of ternary Jordan algebras. We show that for ternary Jordan algebras, generalized derivation algebras are the sum of quasiderivation algebras and centroids where centroids are ideals of generalized derivation algebras. We also prove that quasiderivations can be embedded into larger ternary Jordan algebras as derivations. In particular, we also determine dimensions of ternary Jordan algebras in the case of all linear transformations are quasiderivations. Some properties about centroids of ternary Jordan algebras are also displayed.

Abstract:The Hessian map is the rational map that sends a homogeneous polynomial to the determinant of its Hessian matrix. We prove that the Hessian map is birational on its image for ternary forms of degree $d\ge 4$, $d\neq 5$, by considering the action of the orthogonal group. In a previous paper we proved the analogous result for binary forms, with more geometric techniques.

Abstract:In this paper, we deduce some hyperstability results for a generalized class of homogeneous Pexiderized functional equations, expressed as ∑ρ∈Γfxρ.y=lf(x)+lg(y), x,y∈M, which is inspired by the concept of Ulam stability. Indeed, we prove that function f that approximately satisfies an equation can, under certain conditions, be considered an exact solution. Domain M is a monoid (semigroup with a neutral element), Γ is a finite subgroup of the automorphisms group of M, l is the cardinality of Γ, and f,g:M→G such that (G,+) denotes an l-cancellative commutative group. We also examine the hyperstability of the given equation in its inhomogeneous version ∑ρ∈Γfxρ.y=lf(x)+lg(y)+ψ(x,y),x,y∈M, where ψ:M×M→G. Additionally, we apply the main results to elucidate the hyperstability of various functional equations with involutions.

Abstract:The group scheme of ternary automorphisms of a perfect finite dimensional evolution algebra A is computed. The main advantage of using group schemes is that it allows to apply the Lie functor to determine the Lie algebra of ternary derivations of A. Using the generalised inverse of a matrix, we provide a precise classification of all ternary derivations of an arbitrary finite-dimensional evolution algebra A. The ternary derivations of all 2-dimensional evolution algebras are also computed.

Abstract:The focus of this work is the study of Parikh matrices with emphasis on two concrete problems. In the first part of our presentation we show that a conjecture by Dick at al. in 2021 only stands in the case of ternary alphabets, while providing counterexamples for larger alphabets. In particular, we show that the only type of distinguishability in the case of 3-letter alphabets is the trivial one. The second part of the paper builds on the notion of Parikh matrices for projections of words, discussed initially in this work, and answers, once more in the case of a ternary alphabet, a question posed by Atanasiu et al. in 2022 with regards to the minimal Hamming distance in between words sharing a congruency class.
