Abstract:Artificial intelligence (AI)-based healthcare technologies are changing nurses' roles and enhancing patient care. However, nursing students may not be aware of the benefits, may not be trained to use AI-based technologies in their practice, and could have ethical concerns about using them. This study was conducted to identify the dual mediating effects of anxiety to use and acceptance attitude toward AI on the relationship between perception of and intentions to use AI among nursing students in South Korea.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The paper aims to explore the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in nursing practice, with a particular focus on nursing students' perceptions of AI technology, anxiety, and the impact of their acceptance attitudes on their intention to use it. The study found that nursing students' positive perceptions of AI are positively correlated with their acceptance attitudes and intention to use it, while anxiety about AI is negatively correlated with acceptance attitudes and intention to use it. Additionally, the study confirmed the dual mediating effect of anxiety and acceptance attitudes between perception and intention to use. Specifically, the study results indicate: 1. **Perception and Acceptance Attitude**: Nursing students' positive perceptions of AI enhance their acceptance attitudes towards AI. 2. **Anxiety and Acceptance Attitude**: Anxiety about AI reduces students' acceptance attitudes. 3. **Acceptance Attitude and Intention to Use**: Higher acceptance attitudes increase students' intention to use AI. The study suggests that to enhance nursing students' acceptance and intention to use AI technology, educational institutions should systematically provide AI-related educational courses to improve students' cognition of AI, reduce their anxiety, and promote their positive acceptance attitudes towards AI. Through these measures, nursing students' professional capabilities can be improved, and AI technology can be better utilized to improve healthcare services.
