Abstract:This paper adopts the methods of literature review and logic analysis,taking the connotation of university spirit and campus sports culture as the entry point to discuss the connotative correlation between university spirit and campus sports culture.Based on the general problems existing in campus sports culture,the article probes the construction of campus sports culture from the perspective of the university spirit,which can pave the way for the positive interaction between university spirit and campus sports culture

Abstract:From a cultural perspective to explore and examine the university spirit,it should reflect the core values,the guiding ideology and soul of the University to achieve its basic mission and functions required.After Looking at the development of the university functions from the culture of the three elements: faith,knowledge and virtue,it is indicated that the university spirit must be abiding by and evoluting.During the caurse of the evolution of the University and its spirit,the basic spirit of the University has achieved a perfect fusion of the scientific spirit and humanistic spirit.Combining with the development of the university in China,it has a specific connotation: seeking truth from facts,the spirit of independence and freedom of thought,justice,faith and cultivation of personality are respectively the main contents of the scientific spirit and humanistic spirit,while respecting the talent,carrying forward the spirit of inclusiveness,the spirit of sacrifice,patriotic spirit and bear spirit.

Abstract:World first-class universities are the symbols of the comprehensive national power and the aims of higher educations.First-class universities not only possess fist-class disciplines,faculties and achievements,but also have profound cultures.Every first-class university has respectable spirit.Unique university spirit is an important symbol of first-class university.In the process of developing world first-class universities in China,we pay excessive attentions to hard index,but little attentions to cultivating university spirit.The university spirit is the soul of universities shaped in the long history,which is the common values and group consciousness possessed by all faculties and students.It plays an indispensable role in the development of universities.It is crucial for Chinese universities to attach importance to the cultivation of university spirits in order to become ones of world first-class universities.

Abstract:Universities,essentially the outcome of cultural accumulation,are responsible for selec-ting,criticizing and creating human culture.They are not only organizations with intense cultural at-tributes,but also important carriers of culture heritage as well as significant sources of cultural crea-tion.Along this vein,this paper first clarifies the conception of culture.Then it divides university cul-ture into spiritual culture,institutional culture and environmental culture and demonstrates the inner relationship among the three.Lastly,it discusses the significance of university culture to value pursuit and daily practices of universities.

Abstract:The evaluation on university spirit is the most suitable way to inspect the reality of Chinese university spirit. What’s more, it is valuable to rebuild university spirit, go back to teaching, and improve our current higher education evaluation system. This paper infers that university spirit evaluation is feasible as university culture because they have same features. Therefore, a five-element evaluation framework was built which including spiritual subject, spiritual noumenon, spiritual supporter, spiritual pursuit, and spiritual characteristics. Each of these elements refers to university teachers and students, the content of university spirit, the visible and invisible spiritual supporters, the realms and ideas of university spirit, and the spiritual appearances in each university separately. On the ground of those five aspects, we build up twenty evaluation indicators and suggest that mixed method -questionnaire and group focus interviews is the best university spirit evaluating path.

Abstract:The Yan'an Spirit is a unique ideological and cultural phenomenon that emerged during the period of China's War of Resistance against Japan. It represents the experience summary and theoretical innovation of the Chinese nation in the Yan'an area. The Yan'an Spirit is an important part of China's spiritual heritage with rich connotations. It not only enabled the Chinese nation to defeat the Japanese invaders in conjunction with the international community during World War II, but also helped to establish a more confident national identity, providing great impetus for China's modernization.
