Abstract:Let (X, tau(1)) and (Y, tau(2)) be two Hausdorff locally convex spaces with continuous duals X, and Y', respectively, L (X, Y) be the space of all continuous linear operators from X into Y, K (X, Y) be the space of all compact operators of L (X, Y). Let WOT and UOT be the weak operator topology and uniform operator topology on K (X, Y), respectively. In this paper, we characterize a full-invariant property of K (X, Y); that is, if the sequence space X has the signed-weak gliding hump property, then each; lambda-multiplier WOT-convergent series Sigma(i) T-i in K(X, Y) must be X-multiplier convergent with respect to all topologies between WOT and UOT if and only if each continuous linear operator T: (X, tau(1)) --> or (lambda(beta), sigma(lambda(beta),lambda)) is compact. Abstract:By using the Ishikawa iterative algorithm, we approximate the fixed points and the best proximity points of a relatively non expansive mapping. Also, we use the von Neumann sequence to prove the convergence result in a Hilbert space setting. A comparison table is prepared using a numerical example which shows that the Ishikawa iterative algorithm is faster than some known iterative algorithms such as Picard and Mann iteration.

Abstract:We present a necessary condition for a pair of $\mathcal{C}(K)$ spaces to be isomorphic in terms of topological properties of Cantor-Bendixon derivatives of $K$. This in particular gives a completely new information about the perfect kernels of such $K$. In the process, we extend known lower estimates of the Banach-Mazur distance between a pair of spaces of continuous functions from the case of scattered compact spaces to a more general setting. Next, we apply this general result to deduce some new information about isomorphisms of spaces of continuous functions over Eberlein compacta of height $\omega+1$. Further, we show that isomorphisms of $\mathcal{C}(K)$ spaces preserve the spread of $K$, and we also prove some new results for pairs of spaces of continuous functions whose Banach-Mazur distance is less than $3$.

Abstract:An iterated circumcenter sequence (ICS) in dimension $d$ is a sequence of points in $\mathbb{R}^d$ where each point is the circumcenter of the preceding $d+1$ points. The purpose of this paper is to completely determine the parameter space of ICSs and its subspace consisting of periodic ICSs. In particular, we prove Goddyn's conjecture on periodic ICSs, which was independently proven recently by Ardanuy. We also prove the existence of a periodic ICS in any dimension.

Topological Stability and Latschev-type Reconstruction Theorems for $\boldsymbol{\mathrm{CAT}(κ)}$ Spaces

Abstract:We consider the problem of homotopy-type reconstruction of compact shapes $X\subset\mathbb{R}^N$ that are $\mathrm{CAT}(\kappa)$ in the intrinsic length metric. The reconstructed spaces are in the form of Vietoris--Rips complexes computed from a compact sample $S$, Hausdorff--close to the unknown shape $X$. Instead of the Euclidean metric on the sample, our reconstruction technique leverages a path-based metric to compute these complexes. As naturally emerging in the framework of reconstruction, we also study the Gromov--Hausdorff topological stability and finiteness problem for general compact $\mathrm{CAT}(\kappa)$ spaces. Our techniques provide novel sampling conditions alternative to the existing and commonly used techniques using weak feature size and $\mu$--reach. In particular, we introduce a new parameter, called the {\em restricted distortion}, which is a generalization of the well-known global distortion of embedding. We show examples of Euclidean subspaces, for which the known parameters such as the reach, $\mu$--reach and weak features size vanish, whereas the restricted distortion is finite, making our reconstruction results applicable for such spaces.

Abstract:We prove that if a sequence of geodesically complete CAT(0)-spaces with uniformly cocompact discrete groups of isometries converges in the Gromov-Hausdorff sense to , then the dimension of the maximal Euclidean factor splitted off by and is the same, for j big enough. In other words, no additional Euclidean factors can appear in the limit.

Abstract:We establish a family of inequalities that hold true on any $6$ points in any $\mathrm{CAT}(0)$ space. We prove that the validity of these inequalities does not follow from any properties of $5$-point subsets of $\mathrm{CAT}(0)$ spaces. In particular, the validity of these inequalities does not follow from the $\mathrm{CAT}(0)$ $4$-point condition.

Abstract:We study the theory of convergence for CAT$(0)$-lattices (that is groups $\Gamma$ acting geometrically on proper, geodesically complete CAT$(0)$-spaces) and their quotients (CAT$(0)$-orbispaces). We describe some splitting and collapsing phenomena, explaining precisely how these action can degenerate to a possibly non-discrete limit action. Finally, we prove a compactness theorem for the class of compact CAT$(0)$-homology orbifolds, and some applications: an isolation result for flat orbispaces and an entropy-pinching theorem.

Abstract:We propose an iterative scheme generating method to address common fixed point problems. Our approach yields diverse iterative schemes for finding common fixed points. The derivative results include the Ishikawa iterative method and its variations. An application to the variational inequality problem is provided to illustrate the usefulness of our method. The class of mappings we target is general. This category includes nonexpansive mappings and various other types, even those that lack continuity.

Abstract:The notions of the τC -Kolmogorov condition, the τC-sun and the τC-regular point are introduced, and the relationships between them and the best τC -approximation are explored. As a consequence, characterizations of best τC-approximations from some kind of subsets (not necessarily convex) are obtained. As an application, a characterization result for a set C to be smooth is given in terms of the τC-approximation.

Abstract:For an harmonic map $u$ from a domain $U\subset{\rm X}$ in an ${\sf RCD}(K,N)$ space ${\rm X}$ to a ${\sf CAT}(0)$ space ${\rm Y}$ we prove the Lipschitz estimate \[ {\rm Lip}(u|_B)\leq \frac {C(K^-R^2,N)}r\inf_{{\sf o}\in {\rm Y}}\,\sqrt{\frac1{{\mathfrak m}(2B)}\int_{2B}{\sf d}_{\rm Y}^2(u(\cdot),{\sf o})\, {\rm d}{\mathfrak m}}, \qquad \forall 2B\subset U \] where $r\in(0,R)$ is the radius of $B$. This is obtained by combining classical Moser's iteration, a Bochner-type inequality that we derive (guided by recent works of Zhang-Zhu) together with a reverse Poincaré inequality that is also established here. A direct consequence of our estimate is a Lioville-Yau type theorem in the case $K=0$. Among the ingredients we develop for the proof, a variational principle valid in general ${\sf RCD}$ spaces is particularly relevant. It can be roughly stated as: if $({\rm X},{\sf d},{\mathfrak m})$ is ${\sf RCD}(K,\infty)$ and $f\in C_b({\rm X})$ is so that $\Delta f\leq C$ for some constant $C>0$, then for every $t>0$ and ${\mathfrak m}$-a.e.\ $x\in{\rm X}$ there is a unique minimizer $F_t(x)$ for $ y\ \mapsto\ f(y)+\frac{{\sf d}^2(x,y)}{2t} $ and the map $F_t$ satisfies \[ (F_t)_*{\mathfrak m}\leq e^{t(C+2K^-{\sf Osc}(f))}{\mathfrak m},\qquad\text{where}\qquad {\sf Osc}(f):=\sup f-\inf f. \] Here existence is in place without any sort of compactness assumption and uniqueness should be intended in a sense analogue to that in place for Regular Lagrangian Flows and Optimal Maps (and is related to both these concepts). Finally, we also obtain a Rademacher-type result for Lipschitz maps between spaces as above.

Abstract:Iterative algorithms have been utilized for the computation of approximate solutions of stationary and evolutionary problems associated with differential equations. The aim of this article is to introduce concepts of monotone Reich and Chatterjea nonexpansive mappings on partially ordered Banach spaces. We describe sufficient conditions for the existence of an approximate fixed-point sequence (AFPS) and prove certain fixed-point results using the Krasnoselskii–Ishikawa iterative algorithm. Moreover, we present some interesting examples to highlight the superiority of our results. Lastly, we provide both weak and strong convergence results for such mappings and consider an application of our results to prove the existence of a solution to an initial value problem.

Lipschitz extensions from spaces of nonnegative curvature into CAT(1) spaces

Abstract:We prove that complete $\text{CAT}(\kappa)$ spaces of sufficiently small radii possess metric cotype 2 and metric Markov cotype 2. This generalizes the previously known result for complete $\text{CAT}(0)$ spaces. The generalization involves extending the variance inequality known for barycenters in $\text{CAT}(0)$ spaces to an inequality analogous to one for 2-uniformly convex Banach spaces, and demonstrating that the barycenter map on such spaces is Lipschitz continuous on the corresponding Wasserstein 2 space. By utilizing the generalized Ball extension theorem by Mendel and Naor, we obtain an extension result for Lipschitz maps from Alexandrov spaces of nonnegative curvature into $\text{CAT}(\kappa)$ spaces whose image is contained in a subspace of sufficiently small radius, thereby weakening the curvature assumption in the well-known Lipschitz extension theorem for Alexandrov spaces by Lang and Schröder. As an additional application, we obtain that $\ell_p$ spaces for $p > 2$ cannot be uniformly embedded into any $\text{CAT}(\kappa)$ space with sufficiently small diameter.

Abstract:Let E be a real Banach space and let D be a nonempty closed convex subset of E , let be a continuous weak generalized φ -hemicontractive mapping. The existence theorem of a fixed point of a weak generalized φ -pseudocontractive mapping is obtained. And we also prove that implicit Mann and Ishikawa iterations converge strongly to the unique fixed point of T . Abstract:In this paper we consider the dynamical system involved by the Ricci operator on the space of Kähler metrics. A. Nadel has defined an iteration scheme given by the Ricci operator for Fano manifold and asked whether it has some nontrivial periodic points. First, we prove that no such periodic points can exist. We define the inverse of the Ricci operator and consider the dynamical behaviour of its iterates for a Fano Kähler-Einstein manifold. In particular we show that the iterates do converge to the existing Kähler-Ricci soliton on a toric manifold. Finally, we define a finite dimensional procedure to give an approximation of Kähler-Einstein metrics using this iterative procedure and apply it for $\mathbb{CP}^2$ blown up in 3 points.
