Abstract:Let $(X,\tau_X)$ and $(Y,\tau_Y)$ be locally convex spaces, $c(X)$ and $c(Y)$ the $X$-valued and $Y$-valued convergent sequence spaces, respectively, $A_{ij} \in L(X,Y)$ and $A=(A_{ij})$ an operator-valued infinite matrix. In this paper, we characterize the matrix $A=(A_{ij})$ which transforms $c(X)$ into $c(Y)$. As its applications, we introduce the chi function $\chi$ on locally convex spaces, and show that a conservative matrix is conull if and only if $\chi$ (A)=0$.

Abstract:Let (X, tau(1)) and (Y, tau(2)) be two Hausdorff locally convex spaces with continuous duals X, and Y', respectively, L (X, Y) be the space of all continuous linear operators from X into Y, K (X, Y) be the space of all compact operators of L (X, Y). Let WOT and UOT be the weak operator topology and uniform operator topology on K (X, Y), respectively. In this paper, we characterize a full-invariant property of K (X, Y); that is, if the sequence space X has the signed-weak gliding hump property, then each; lambda-multiplier WOT-convergent series Sigma(i) T-i in K(X, Y) must be X-multiplier convergent with respect to all topologies between WOT and UOT if and only if each continuous linear operator T: (X, tau(1)) --> or (lambda(beta), sigma(lambda(beta),lambda)) is compact. Abstract:Let E be a real Banach space and let D be a nonempty closed convex subset of E , let be a continuous weak generalized φ -hemicontractive mapping. The existence theorem of a fixed point of a weak generalized φ -pseudocontractive mapping is obtained. And we also prove that implicit Mann and Ishikawa iterations converge strongly to the unique fixed point of T . Our results extend the corresponding results of Xiang (Nonlinear Anal. 70(6): 2277-2279, 2009). MSC: 47H09, 47J25.

Abstract:Let X be a Banach space. Let T: X -> 2(X) be a set-valued mapping with closed graph which is not necessarily monotone. In the present paper, we introduce a Gauss-type proximal point algorithm for solving the inclusion problem 0 is an element of T(x). We establish the convergence criteria of the Gauss-type proximal point algorithm, which guarantees the existence and the convergence of any sequence generated by the algorithm under mild conditions. More precisely, semilocal and local convergence of the Gauss-type proximal point method are analyzed when T is metrically regular.

Abstract:Let C denote a convex subset within the vector space lp(·), and let T represent a mapping from C onto itself. Assume α=(α1,⋯,αn) is a multi-index in [0,1]n such that ∑i=1nαi=1, where α1>0 and αn>0. We define Tα:C→C as Tα=∑i=1nαiTi, known as the mean average of the mapping T. While every fixed point of T remains fixed for Tα, the reverse is not always true. This paper examines necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of fixed points for T, relating them to the existence of fixed points for Tα and the behavior of T-orbits of points in T's domain. The primary approach involves a detailed analysis of recurrent sequences in R. Our focus then shifts to variable exponent modular vector spaces lp(·), where we explore the essential conditions that guarantee the existence of fixed points for these mappings. This investigation marks the first instance of such results in this framework.

Abstract:In the present paper, we consider inexact proximal point algorithms for finding singular points of multivalued vector fields on Hadamard manifolds. The rate of convergence is shown to be linear under the mild assumption of metric subregularity. Furthermore, if the sequence of parameters associated with the iterative scheme converges to 0, then the convergence rate is superlinear. At the same time, the finite termination of the inexact proximal point algorithm is also provided under a weak sharp minima-like condition. Applications to optimization problems are provided. Some of our results are new even in Euclidean spaces, while others improve and/or extend some known results in Euclidean spaces. As a matter of fact, in the case of exact proximal point algorithm, our results improve the corresponding results in [G. C. Bento and J. X. Cruz Neto, Opttm., 63 (2014), pp. 1281-1288]. Finally, several examples are provided to illustrate that our results are applicable while the corresponding results in the Hilbert space setting are not.

Abstract:Inexact proximal point methods are extended to find singular points for multivalued vector fields on Hadamard manifolds. Convergence criteria are established under some mild conditions. In particular, in the case of proximal point algorithm, that is, ε _n=0 for each n , our results improve sharply the corresponding results in Li et al. ( 2009 ). Applications to optimization problems, variational inequality problems and gradient methods are also given.

Abstract:By using the Ishikawa iterative algorithm, we approximate the fixed points and the best proximity points of a relatively non expansive mapping. Also, we use the von Neumann sequence to prove the convergence result in a Hilbert space setting. A comparison table is prepared using a numerical example which shows that the Ishikawa iterative algorithm is faster than some known iterative algorithms such as Picard and Mann iteration.

Abstract:We consider maps defined on the interior of a normal, closed cone in a real Banach space that are nonexpansive with respect to Thompson's metric. With mild compactness assumptions, we prove that the Krasnoselskii iterates of such maps converge to a fixed point when one exists. For maps that are also order-preserving, we give simple necessary and sufficient conditions in terms of upper and lower Collatz-Wielandt numbers for the fixed point set to be nonempty and bounded in Thompson's metric. When the map is also real analytic, these conditions are both necessary and sufficient for the map to have a unique fixed point and for all iterates of the map to converge to the fixed point. We demonstrate how these results apply to certain nonlinear matrix equations on the cone of positive definite Hermitian matrices.

Abstract:The maximal monotonicity notion in Banach spaces is extended to Riemannian manifolds of nonpositive sectional curvature, Hadamard manifolds, and proved to be equivalent to the upper semicontinuity. We consider the problem of finding a singularity of a multivalued vector field in a Hadamard manifold and present a general proximal point method to solve that problem, which extends the known proximal point algorithm in Euclidean spaces. We prove that the sequence generated by our method is well defined and converges to a singularity of a maximal monotone vector field, whenever it exists. Applications in minimization problems with constraints, minimax problems and variational inequality problems, within the framework of Hadamard manifolds, are presented.

Abstract:We prove that if a sequence of geodesically complete CAT(0)-spaces with uniformly cocompact discrete groups of isometries converges in the Gromov-Hausdorff sense to , then the dimension of the maximal Euclidean factor splitted off by and is the same, for j big enough. In other words, no additional Euclidean factors can appear in the limit.

Abstract:In this article, we introduce two multivalued contractive mappings within the framework of Hausdorff controlled metric spaces, employing concepts of admissibility and C ‐class functions. The first mapping is a (β∗,ζ) ‐generalized contractive multivalued mapping, and the second is a (β,W(ζ,ξ)) ‐multivalued mapping. We establish conditions guaranteeing the existence of fixed points for these mappings. To support our theoretical findings, we provide a numerical example, demonstrating the independence of the contractive conditions for the mappings. Furthermore, we apply our results to a specific problem in polynomial equations. These findings complement several existing results in the literature.

Abstract:In this paper, a generalization of fixed-point mappings with an iterate at a point in complete metric spaces is shown, using the notions of T-closed sets and i-P-regularity/d-P-regularity, proving conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the fixed point. Abstract:The purpose of this paper was to prove that a novel algorithm with an inertial approach, used to generate an iterative sequence, strongly converges to a fixed point of a nonexpansive mapping in a real uniformly convex Banach space with a uniformly Gâteaux differentiable norm. Furthermore, zeros of accretive mappings were obtained. The proposed algorithm has been implemented and tested via numerical simulation in MATLAB. The simulation results showed that the algorithm converges to the optimal configurations and shows the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Abstract:Let $G$ be a group with a non-elementary action on a proper CAT(0) space $X$, and let $\mu$ be a measure on $G$ such that the random walk $(Z_n)_n$ generated by $\mu$ has finite second moment on $X$. Let $o$ be a basepoint in $X$, and assume that there exists a rank one isometry in $G$. We prove that in this context, $(Z_n o )_n$ satisfies a Central Limit Theorem, namely that the random variables $\frac{1}{\sqrt{n}}(d(Z_n o, o) - n \lambda) $ converge in law to a non-degenerate Gaussian distribution $N_\mu$, for $\lambda$ the (positive) drift of the random walk. The strategy relies on the use of hyperbolic models introduced by H. Petyt, A. Zalloum and D. Spriano, which are analogues of curve graphs and cubical hyperplanes for the class of CAT(0) spaces. As a side result, we prove that the probability that the nth-step $Z_n$ acts on $X$ as a contracting isometry goes to 1 as $n$ goes to infinity.
