Abstract:According to the characteristics of far-infrared polyester,bamboo fiber and acrylic,together with the practical production,this paper discusses various measures that increasing the blended yarns' quality.The results show that the processing principles of the abbreviated system,multiple bale breaking,small beating,slow speed,and multiple blending are adopted in the picking process;the light quantum,middle gauge,middle speed,large transfer coefficient,and small tension draft are used in the carding process;the light quantum,slow speed,heavy pressure,straight draft,large gauge are used in the drawing process;the heavy pressure,slow speed,large gauge,middle twist,and small tension are presented in the roving process;and the middle speed,large twist factor,heavy pressure,large gauge,middle hardness rubber-covered roll,and small nip gauge are adopted in the spinning process,which can all increase the quality of blended yarns.

Abstract:In this work, 10 yarn samples were prepared through ring spinning with different ratios of Tencel, cotton, polyester, and recycled polyester fibers. These yarns were converted into knitted fabrics by a sample knitting machine, and their mechanical and comfort properties were investigated. The mechanical tests were comprised of bursting strength and pilling tests, whereas tests of comfort properties included air permeability, water vapor permeability, and thermal resistance. It is found that the fibers of Tencel/cotton and virgin polyester/recycled polyester with blended ratios of 40/20 and 20/20, respectively, give better mechanical and comfort properties than other blended ratios and the "chief value cotton" (CVC) (60:40) blend. CVC (60:40) is a conventional blend comprising 60% cotton and 40% virgin polyester that is being used for summer clothing. Therefore, by analyzing statistically and comparing different blends, it is established that Tencel/cotton and virgin polyester/recycled polyester with blended ratios of 40/20 and 20/20, respectively, not only offer better mechanical and comfort properties, but the consumption of unsustainable virgin polyester and cotton fibers can also be decreased by 60%.

Abstract:The invention discloses ultra-high-count pure cotton combing yarn and a spinning technology of the ultra-high-count pure cotton combing yarn. Raw cotton comprises, by weight, 15%-25% of Egypt cotton, 25%-35% of American cotton and 40%-50% of Xinjiang long stapled cotton, wherein the Egypt cotton, the American cotton and the Xinjiang long stapled cotton are blended to spin 200S to 300S pure cotton yarn. The spinning technology includes the following steps that the first procedure of blowing-carding, the second procedure of combing, the third procedure of drawing, the fourth procedure of roving yarn, the fifth procedure of spun yarn and the sixth procedure of spooling. With the blending scheme, the raw cotton can integrate the advantages of high fineness and good maturity of the Egypt cotton, the advantages of high strength and non-existing abnormal fibers of the American cotton, the advantage of large length of the Xinjiang long stapled cotton and the like. The raw cotton reaches the requirements for the fiber length, the length CV value, the Micronaire value, the fineness, the strength and other performance indexes of raw cotton in producing ultra-high-count yarn. According to the spinning technology of the ultra-high-count pure cotton combing yarn, the ultra-high-count yarn can be produced under a large ration of roving yarn, the spinning efficiency is improved and meanwhile, quality of resultant yarn is ensured.

Abstract:The properties of Taly are introduced. In combination with production practice, according to each fiber characteristics, through optimizing the process parameters and process test, this paper analyses the influence of weaving factors on the silk-like interwoven products with polyester and Taly fiber, and expounds the technical measures and process parameters. It concludes that these interwoven products are high-grade products, the processing is more difficult. In order to produce high quality products, first, it is necessary to produce the yarn which meet the national standard; secondly, when weaving, to allocate reasonably the weaving process parameters, help to improve the fabric quality and comprehensive efficiency, provide certain reference basis for improving product quality.

Abstract:Textile Research Journal, Ahead of Print. Natural fibers exhibit good moisture absorption, antistatic properties and skin affinity. However, they are difficult to dry due to high water retention. Herein, two types of environmentally friendly yarn structures were developed, the single wrapping structure and double wrapping structure, using the physical methods of filament spinning to wrap the core yarn in order to improve the moisture transport of the fabric. Silk 30 D/10 f filaments were used to wrap 32S bleached long-staple cotton yarn. Improved water evaporation rates by 13.12% and 2.97% were achieved with the application of the single and the double wrapping twist of 700 T/m, respectively. The experiment data obtained was evaluated using analysis of variance, which indicates the wrapping structures and the twist level are significant parameters affecting the wicking performance of the yarns. Moreover, there is an optimal twist level to modify yarns with greater moisture management performance for each of the wrapping structures, which provides a reference for the yarn production and enhances the application of natural fibers.

Abstract:The capillary effect,moisture absorption and liberation property of yarns blended with new environment friendly fibers such as Rousi fibers,pupa protein fiber,Tencel fiber,color cotton,etc.were studied in this paper.Their liquid wicking height and moisture absorption and libertation process were tested.The tested data were contrasted by using Origin software in order to find the more universal laws which have relation with the moisture absorption and liquid transfer property of yarns,and the tested results could provide reference for developing environment friendly fabrics with good wet comfort.The results show that the yarns blended with pupa protein fibers which are of skin-core structure have good capillary effect.The yarn blended 50% Rousi fibers has the better moisture absorption and liberation property.With the decreasing of Rousi fiber content,the rate of absorption and liberation decreased.Tencel/bast fibers yarns are not better than the yarns having Rousi fibers and pupa protein fibers on capillary effect and moisture absorption and liberation property.Cotton/color cotton yarns have the lowest absorption and liberation rate.

Abstract:Worldwide yarn diversity in terms of structure and properties has increased in recent years. Especially composite yarns produced by multiple components have become very preferable in both weaving and knitting sectors. Among these yarns, core and dual core-spun yarn are more prominent in some areas due to their particular performance. In this study, the structure and properties of plain, elastane cored, and elastane + filament cored composite yarns, which were spun by using cotton as sheath fibers, are comparatively investigated. With a constant Ne 16/1 linear density, a carded yarn production line with modified ring-spinning system was used to produce the composite samples using 5.56% elastane ratio for both and 13.79% polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) ratio for dual core. It was observed that the strength of the composite yarns decreased, while the elongation values at the time of breaking tended to increase. There was some deterioration in transition from plain yarn to dual core composite yarn in terms of unevenness and yarn defects, while some improvement was observed in terms of yarn hairiness. In order to dwell on the causes of this situation, the surface and cross-sectional images of the yarns were also studied.
