Design and Implementation of the Automatic Monitoring System for Air Supply Based on Profibus/Profinet

Abstract:In wind tunnel project,the quality of air supply affects the accuracy of wind tunnel experiments,and the air supply system is always large and complex.Therefore,an automatic monitoring scheme is proposed for air supply system based on Profibus/Profinet,in order to ensure the high quality of air supply for the wind tunnel and improve the security of the air supply production.Since there exists a lot of nodes in the system,many S7-200 slave station are set up.According to the different functions,two S7-300 master station are found.Different communication protocols,such as Modbus,Profibus-DP,and Profinet,are used to build the industrial control network of the air supply system because of the diversity of the field equipments.Consequently,the system achieve such functions as remote monitoring,local monitoring,and gas flow management.The practical results show the effectiveness of the automatic monitoring system.
