Abstract:The translation and research of Chinese foreign literature have a rich and distinguished history that spans over a century, yielding numerous and substantial achievements. These research outcomes for thoroughly synthesized and scientific analyses can provide authoritative and accurate guidance for foreign literature translation and research, highlighting the significance of the China Foreign Literature Studies Index (CFLSI) database. This article focuses on three issues encountered in database development. 1) An examination of the limitations of existing public network resources based on the unique nature of the foreign literature discipline, thereby establishing the necessity for the creation of a discipline-specific database; 2) An exploration of the composition, functional design, and implementation approaches of the CFLSI database in response to the requirements of foreign literature researchers; 3) The establishment of the database framework and development technology of the system aligned with the data composition and functional design. The creation of the CFLSI database represents an exploration and application to merge digital technology with a comprehensive understanding of the foreign literature discipline.

Abstract:This paper aims to comprehensively discuss the current situation and challenges of the construction of international Chinese teaching resources in Qingdao University of Science and Technology Library, and put forward some improvement strategies. Through the method of literature investigation and analysis, this paper finds that the library's international Chinese education collection resources lack diversity and low utilization rate. The findings clearly point to the need to take measures to increase the diversity of international Chinese learning literature, improve resource utilization, promote the development of electronic resources, and strengthen internal and external cooperation. This paper especially emphasizes the importance of optimizing the creation and acquisition of international Chinese learning resources to improve the quality of education and meet the needs of readers. Through the implementation of these measures, the service level of libraries can be improved effectively, and the development of international Chinese education and the learning needs of readers can be better supported.

Abstract:The original responsibilities of university library mainly focus on cultivating creative talents, scientific and technological innovation and knowledge discovery. The rapid development of new media application has brought unprecedented challenges to the traditional library information literacy education. Taking the library of Tianjin University as a case, this paper introduced the exploration and practice of subject service. In the face of multi-dimensional subject information needs and deep-seated knowledge service requirements in the digital scientific research environment, libraries should make use of their own advantages, take more methods to embed in the front line of scientific research, and provide a full range of subject services for teachers and students. Abstract:This paper analyzes the Library Publication Directory (2015-2019) published by the Library Publishing Coalition and investigates the characteristics and developmental trends of foreign academic libraries in the recent five years. The analysis is carried out from two aspects: the infrastructure of publishing services and specific activities, including mission and objectives, organizational structure, personnel input, funding sources, collaboration partners, numbers and types of publications, publishing platform, digital preservation, open access, peer review, value-added services, etc. At the end, this paper puts forward some recommendations for enhancing the publishing services of academic libraries in China.

Abstract:With the widespread application of big data, library services play an important role in college education and talent training, but there are also some problems. This article mainly explores the service mode of university libraries under the current big data background. First, it discusses the current situation and shortcomings of library services in the big database environment from the perspectives of document retrieval and information resource management; finally, a new service model for university readers based on the era of big data is proposed: establishing a library service quality management platform and using big data technology to improve personalized service. In addition, this article investigates the specific situation of the library service quality of a university through experiments, analyzes the reader’s evaluation of various aspects of library services, analyzes the qualification and excellence of library services, and finds that the service quality of the library is at a low level, and it is urgent to improve the service level.

Abstract:With great increase of international students coming to study in China, more and more challenges occur for Chinese academic libraries to meet their needs. In case of Beijing Normal University Library (BNUL), we conducted a user survey and a five-point Likert Scale questionnaire focusing on the areas of library services, resources and environment was used to explore international students' library usage preference and their perceptions on importance and performance of these three areas. The analysis started with descriptive analysis followed by gap analysis between importance to the users and library's performance, and key findings from suggestions of international students were listed. The main objective of this paper is to know international students' information needs, analyze their assessment to the library, determine where and how gaps exist and find out aspects that BNUL need to improve. The paper finally drew some conclusions on how to improve BNUL service quality to international students.
