Abstract:Objective: To compare the fracture resistances between of anterio r or posterior teeth reconstructed restored with canal pins and those with caste d and post cores under the same conditions. Methods: Compressive strength of rec onstructed restored teeth in vitro with canal pins or post and cores were tested by an electronic material test machine. Results: The compressive strength of an terior roots with post and cores were larger higher than those with canal pins(P 0.05).But there was not significant difference between posterior roots with pos t and cores and those with canal pins(P0.05). Conclusions: Anterior roots with post and cores were stronger than those with canal pins, and there was not diff erent compressive strength between post cores and canal pins in the posterior ro ots.
