Abstract:COM is the one of the most important peripheral interfaces in computer; therefore it is significant to do the study of programming design methods in serial communication. In this paper we discuss the four programming design methods of serial communication on C~(++) Builder 6 platform: direct embedded assembler, Windows API functions, MSComm component based on the technique of ActiveX and Third-Party component SPComm. We also give the compared results of the four programming design methods in serial communication, and provide programming examples.

Abstract:Firstly, an inter-process communication mechanism for legacy CAD system application is presented and confirmed. Secondly, a protocol framework is outlined to support collaborative integrated design. Thirdly, the basic ideas of application data communication protocol are studied to dynamically map and transport engineering graphics data among industry stand CAD systems. The proposed methods have been implemented in a computed-aided tools for collaborative integrated design environments. The results demonstrate that these methods are more effective than the existed methods such as exchanging data files or broadcasting display pixels.

Abstract:An "Intelligent Examination-Questions Bank System for Engineering Drawing" is developed to overcome the difficulty in the traditional examination paper generation.Based on SQL Server technology,test questions can be inserted,deleted and edited in the system.An examination paper can be formed both automatically and manually.The difficulty levels and counts of questions of the paper can be set.Finally,an examination paper together with the solution paper is generated in Microsoft Word format.Based on VB and VBA,the system is efficient and developable.
