Abstract:In this paper, we obtain some new and general existence and uniqueness theorems of positive fixed points for mixed monotone operators with perturbation, which extend the corresponding results in [Z.T. Zhang, New fixed point theorems of mixed monotone operators and applications, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 204 (1996) 307–319, Theorem 1, Corollaries 1 and 2]. Moreover, some applications to nonlinear integral equations on unbounded region are given.

Abstract:We establish two fixed point theorems for nonlinear operators on Banach spaces partially ordered by a cone. The first fixed point theorem is concerned with a class of mixed monotone operators. In the second fixed point theorem, the nonlinear operators are neither monotone nor mixed monotone. We also provide an illustrative example for our second result.

Abstract:We use the method of monotone iterations to obtain fixed point and coupled fixed point results for mixed monotone operators in the setting of partially ordered sets, with no additional assumptions on the partial order and with no convergence structure. We define the concept of attractive fixed point with respect to the partial order and obtain several criteria for the existence, uniqueness and order-attractiveness of the fixed points, both in the presence and in the absence of a coupled lower-upper fixed point. As an application, we present a fixed point result for a class of mixed monotone operators in the setting of ordered linear spaces.

Abstract:In this paper we extend the coupled fixed point theorems for mixed monotone operators $F:X \times X \rightarrow X$ obtained in [T.G. Bhaskar, V. Lakshmikantham, \textit{Fixed point theorems in partially ordered metric spaces and applications}, Nonlinear Anal. \textbf{65} (2006) 1379-1393] and [N.V. Luong and N.X. Thuan, \textit{Coupled fixed points in partially ordered metric spaces and application}, Nonlinear Anal. \textbf{74} (2011) 983-992], by weakening the involved contractive condition. An example as well an application to nonlinear Fredholm integral equations are also given in order to illustrate the effectiveness of our generalizations.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the concept of mixed (G, S)-monotone mappings and prove coupled coincidence and coupled common fixed point theorems for such mappings satisfying a nonlinear contraction involving altering distance functions. Presented theorems extend, improve and generalize the very recent results of Harjani, López and Sadarangani [J. Harjani, B. López and K. Sadarangani, Fixed point theorems for mixed monotone operators and applications to integral equations, Nonlinear Analysis (2010), doi:<a class="link-https link-external" data-doi="10.1016/j.na.2010.10.047" href="https://doi.org/10.1016/j.na.2010.10.047" rel="external noopener nofollow">https://doi.org/10.1016/j.na.2010.10.047</a>] and other existing results in the literature. Besides, we further prove that the Hypercyclicity Criterion with respect to some syndetic sequence for any weighted backward shift T on l(2) (the Hilbert space of square summable sequences) is equivalent to the mixing property of the corresponding left multiplication operators induced by T in the parallel to.parallel to(2) topology.
