Abstract:In this paper, both low order and high order extensions of the Iyengar type inequality are obtained. Such extensions are the best possible in the same sense as that of the Iyengar inequality. Furthermore, the Chebyshev central algorithms of integrals for some function classes and some related problems are also considered and investigated.

Abstract:We establish several new Lyapunov-type inequalities for some nonlinear difference system when the end-points are not necessarily usual zeros, but rather generalized zeros. Abstract:We consider the quasilinear degenerate elliptic equation with rough and singular coefficients of the form div( A(x,u,∇ u)) = B(x,u,∇ u) in an open set Ω⊂ℝ^n, where the quadratic form associated with the principle part of this equation allows vanishing and the coefficients in structural conditions on A(x,u,∇ u) and B(x,u,∇ u) require no smoothness but belong to some Stummel–Kato class. We prove a Fefferman–Phong type inequality related to the Stummel–Kato class and then an embedding inequality. Based on these inequalities, the local boundedness and Harnack’s inequality of the weak solutions are derived. As applications, the continuity and Hölder continuity for the nonnegative weak solutions are given.

Abstract:This paper consists of three parts. First, we give so far the best condition under which the shift invariance of the counting function, and of the characteristic of a subharmonic function, holds. Second, a difference analogue of logarithmic derivative of a δ-subharmonic function is established allowing the case of hyper-order equal to one and minimal hyper-type, which improves the condition of the hyper-order less than one. Finally, we make a careful discussion of a well-known difference equation and give out the possible forms of the equation under a growth condition for the solutions.

Abstract:Monotone finite difference schemes are proposed for nonlinear systems with mixed quasi-monotonicity. Two monotone iteration processes for the corresponding discrete problems are presented, which converge monotonically to the quasi-solutions of the discrete problems. The limits are the exact solutions under some conditions. A monotone finite difference scheme on uniform mesh with the accuracy of fourth order is constructed. The numerical results coincide with theoretical analysis.
