Abstract:In this paper, electrochemical measurements (CV, PDP, M-S and EIS) and surface characterisation techniques (SEM, EDS, AFM, TEM and XPS) were used to study the passivation phenomenon in high-strength anti-seismic rebar under varying pH conditions. The results show that a passive film with a polycrystalline structure with a certain roughness is formed on the surface of the rebar. The passive film is mainly composed of Fe oxides and hydroxides, and there are also oxides of Nb, Mn, Si and Cr. The existence of these oxides builds a dense and stable passive film. The passive film is basically stable at 7d, but the early growth of the passive film at higher alkalinity show instability. After 10 days of passivation, with the decrease of pH, the passive film gradually densifies, the pitting potential increased by about 0.03–0.14 V, the carrier density decreased by 30% on average, the phase angle increased slightly, and the ratios of Fe 2+ /Fe 3+ and O 2− /OH − increased, resulting in a passive film thickness of 6.2 nm. Dans cet article, on a utilisé des mesures électrochimiques (CV, PDP, M-S et EIS) et des techniques de caractérisation de la surface (MEB, EDS, AFM, TEM et XPS) pour étudier le phénomène de passivation dans les barres d'armature antisismiques à haute résistance sous diverses conditions de pH. Les résultats montrent qu'un film de passivation à structure polycristalline d'une certaine rugosité se forme à la surface des barres d'armatures. Le film de passivation est composé principalement d'oxydes et d'hydroxydes de Fe ainsi que d'oxydes de Nb, Mn, Si et Cr. L'existence de ces oxydes élabore un film de passivation dense et stable. Le film de passivation est fondamentalement stable à 7 jours, mais la croissance précoce du film de passivation à une alcalinité plus élevée montre une instabilité. Après 10 jours de passivation, avec la diminution du pH, le film de passivation se densifie graduellement, le potentiel de piqûration a augmenté d'environ 0.03–0.14 V, la densité du porteur a diminué de 30% en moyenne, l'angle de phase a augmenté légèrement et les rapports de Fe 2+ /Fe 3+ et O 2− /OH − ont augmenté, produisant une épaisseur du film de passivation de 6.2 nm.
