Abstract:The title compound, C30H28N6O6S4 center dot CHCl3, is a cytotoxic and antibacterial compound which was isolated from ethyl acetate extracts of Amanita flavorubescens Alk. affected by Verticillium sp. The molecule is a dimer with two epidithio-dioxopiperazine nuclei, the two halves being related by an approximate twofold axis. The two five-membered rings are cis-fused. The crystal structure is stablized by a hydrogen-bond network involving both OH groups and the carbonyl group.

(2006). Z. Kristallogr. New Cryst. Struct. 221, 57–58]. The molecules are linked by O—H...O, N—H...O and weak C—H...O hydrogen bonds to form layers parallel to the (100) plane.

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, C 32 H 28;N 2O 4 was determined by X-ray diffraction method. Crystallographic data are as follows: M r = 504. 59, monoclinic, space group P2 1/c with cell dimensions of a=11. 778(3), b = 8. 416(3), c = 26. 310(6) Å, β = 95. 74(2)° V = 2594.72(2) Å 3, Z = 4, D c = 1. 292g. cm -3, μ =0. 80cm -1, F(000) = 1064, R=0. 045, R w=0. 048 for 1124 reflections with I≥3σ(I). The molecule of the title compound has T style structure. The lactone-benzene group is nearly perpendicular to the xanthene moiety. The C-O bond in the lactone ring is 1. 516(8) Å, which is longer than that in the normal lactone ring, and this indicates severe weakness of the bond.

Abstract:Aspernigrin A was reisolated as a secondary metabolite of the Cynodon dactylon-associated endophytic fungus Cladosporium herbarum IFB-E002 coproducing rubrofusarin B, fonsecinone A, 7-hydroxy-4-methoxy-5-methylcoumarin, orlandin, kotanin, and 3beta,5alpha,6beta-trihydroxyergosta-7,22-diene. The structure of aspernigrin A, previously elucidated to be 4-benzyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridine-3-carboxamide (1), was revised as 6-benzyl-4-oxo-1,4-dihydropyridine-3-carboxamide (2) on the basis of its additional NMR spectroscopic data and the X-ray crystallographic analysis.

Abstract:Objective To study the chemical constituents in roots of Paeonia lactiflora.Methods The compounds were isolated by extraction,silica gel coloum chromatography,RP chromatography and HPLC.The structures were elucidated by various modern spectroscopic methods.Results Five compounds were isolated and identified as paeoniflorin sulfonate(Ⅰ),paeoniflorin(Ⅱ),albiflorin(Ⅲ),benzoylpaeoniflorin(Ⅳ),and 1,2,3,4,6-pentagalloyglucose(Ⅴ).Conclusion Paeoniflorin sulfonate(Ⅰ)is a new compound.

Abstract:A sesquiterpene lactone was isolated from Nouelia insignis Franch,and its structure was elucidated(compound 1)by 2D NMR to be 8β,9-dihydro-onoseriolide.Complete assignment of the 1H and 13C chemical shifts for the compound was obtained.The assignments of H1 and H-2 of the compound previously reported were found incorrect,and the correct assignments were given.The results of this study may have some practical significance for the structural elucidation of onoseriolide sesquiterpene lactones.

Abstract:This work is a reinvestigation of a previously reported structure [Zhu & Ng (2004). Acta Cryst. E60, m939-m940], where the crystal measured was twinned. The title compound, [Ag(C2F3O2)(C5H6N2)](n), is a polymeric silver(I) complex. Each Ag I atom is in a tetrahedral configuration and is four-coordinated by two O atoms of two 3-fluoroacetate anions and two N atoms of two 2-methylpyrazine ligands. The 3-fluoroacetate anion and the 2-methylpyrazine ligand both act as bidentate bridging ligands and coordinate to the Ag-I atoms through the carboxylate O atoms and the pyridine N atoms, respectively, forming a three-dimensional network.

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, C8H7FN2O3, shows that the amide and nitro groups are rotated slightly out of the aromatic plane, with dihedral angles of 16.30 (6) and 29.60 (10)degrees, respectively. The overall molecular organization is stabilized by well defined intermolecular hydrogen bonds that lead to the formation of infinite chains.

Abstract:Two [2+2] photocycloaddition routes were evaluated as possible ways to access the tricyclic core structure found in the terpene monoglycoside lactiflorin. While the first route via ?-substituted cyclopentenones was quickly discarded, the reactions of racemic (5R*)-3-benzyloxy-5-but-3'-enyl-4-methoxycarbonylfuran-2(5?H)-ones proceeded in high yields and with perfect diastereoselectivity. However, it turned out that the regioselectivity was strongly dependent on the substitution pattern within the but-3'-enyl chain, which connects the terminal olefinic double bond to the photoexcited butenolide chromophor. If the chain was unsubstituted or if a tert-butyldimethylsilyloxy group was placed at the 2' position in a syn-relationship to the existing stereogenic center (5R*,2'S*), the crossed product prevailed with regioselectivities of 89:11 to 69:31. If the tert-butyldimethylsilyloxy group was positioned at 2' in an anti-relationship to the existing stereogenic center (5R*,2'R*), the desired straight products were obtained in regioselectivities of 74:24 to 55:45 (6183?% yield). Following this route, the aglycon part of lactiflorin was obtained by an intramolecular [2+2] photocycloaddition and a subsequent hydrogenolysis in 53?% yield. Its further conversion into the natural product after glycosylation included a methyl addition to the lactone carbonyl group, which was optimized to give the desired key intermediate in a yield of 70?%. The further conversion to lactiflorin was achieved in four steps and with an overall yield of 49?%.

Abstract:Friedelin was first isolated from Phyllanthus niruri linn. Its structure was determined by means of spectroscopy methods and X-ray crystallography. Chemical shifts of all carbons and protons were assigned based on the 2D NMR methods. The structure elucidated by means of NMR coincided with the structure got from X-ray diffraction method. It means that structure of friedelin in crystal an in solution have a same configuration. This compound crystallized in the orthorhombic space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) with a = 6.361(2)A, b = 13.933(3)A, c = 28.440 (6)A, α = 90°,β= 90°, γ= 90°,V = 2520.6(11)A3,Z= 4.A slightlyintermolecular contact C-H O=C was observed firstly in this crystal. This contact was supposed to be the determinative factor of formation of the crystal.
Biosynthesis of mildiomycin analog and identification of its structure

Abstract:A new nucleoside antibiotic A was isolated from the fermentation broth of Streptoverticillium rimofaciens ZJU 5119 by adding 5-flucytosine to the culture medium.The molecular structure of compound A was identified by electrospray ionization and()~1H-NMR spectrum.The results indicate that compound A is an analog of mildiomycin with the difference of substituent on cytosine domain.In compound A it is F instead of methyl hydroxyl group in mildiomycin.The productivity of compound A in fermentation broth reached 0.8 g/L.The antibiotic activity was examined and the minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) of compound A was 0.157 g/L,only about half of mildiomycin.

Abstract:The title compound 8-chloro-3-((4-cyanobenzyl)thio)-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3- a ]pyridine is prepared from 1- cyano-4-(chloromethyl)benzene and 8-chloro-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3- a ]pyridine-3(2 H )-thione in the presence of NaOH, and its structure is determined by the X-ray diffraction analysis. The crystals are monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n , with a = 14.018(8) Å, b = 4.096(2) Å, c = 22.974(12) Å, β = 99.759(9)°, V = 1300.1(12) Å 3 , and Z = 4, the final R = 0.0343 and wR = 0.0788 for 2505 observed reflections with I > 2σ( I ). The preliminary biological test shows that the title compound has activities against Stemphylium lycopersici (Enjoji) Yamamoto, Fusarium oxysporum . sp. cucumebrium, and Botrytis cinerea with inhibitory to be 51.19%, 62.02%, 15.56% respectively.
