Abstract:The cutting process of titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4 V is a complex thermomechanical coupling process with high temperature and high strain rate. In this paper, the modified Johnson–Cook (JCM) constitutive model considering strain-temperature coupling and high temperature dynamic crystallization is established, and the modified JC constitutive model is compiled based on the user subroutine VUMAT of ABAQUS. The 3D milling finite element simulation model of titanium alloy frame thin-walled parts is established, and the stress field, temperature field, milling force, and workpiece deformation are simulated and analyzed. The results show that the modified JC constitutive model improves the simulation accuracy by 4.3% and can more accurately describe the mechanical behavior of Ti-6Al-4 V alloy thin-walled parts in the cutting process.
