This fact is exploited to provide a better representation of symmetric quasi-Toeplitz matrices , where, instead of representing a generic matrix as , where T is Toeplitz and K is compact, it is represented as , where and H is compact. It is shown experimentally that the matrix arithmetic obtained this way is much more effective than that implemented in the toolbox CQT-Toolbox of Numer. Algo. 81(2):741–769, 2019.

Abstract:We construct a global B-model for any quasi-homogeneous polynomial f that has properties similar to the properties of the physic's B-model on a Calabi-Yau manifold. The main ingredients in our construction are K. Saito's theory of primitive forms and Givental's higher genus reconstruction. More precisely, we consider the moduli space M-mar degrees of the so-called marginal deformations of f . For each point sigma is an element of M-mam degrees mar we introduce the notion of an opposite subspace in the twisted de Rham cohomology of the corresponding singularity f(sigma) and prove that opposite subspaces are in one-to-one correspondence with the splittings of the Hodge structure in the vanishing cohomology of f(sigma). Therefore, according to M. Saito, an opposite subspace gives rise to a semi-simple Frobenius structure on the space of miniversal deformations of f(sigma). Using Givental's higher genus reconstruction we define a total ancestor potential A(sigma) ((h) over bar, q) whose properties can be described quite elegantly in terms of the properties of the corresponding opposite subspace. For example, if the opposite subspace corresponds to the splitting of the Hodge structure given by complex conjugation, then the total ancestor potential is monodromy invariant and it satisfies the BCOV holomorphic anomaly equations. The coefficients of the total ancestor potential could be viewed as quasi-modular forms on M-Mar degrees in a certain generalized sense. As an application of our construction, we consider the case of a Fermat polynomial W that defines a Calabi-Yau hypersurface X-w in a weighted-projective space. We have constructed two opposite subspaces and proved that the corresponding total ancestor potentials can be identified with respectively the total ancestor potential of the orbifold quotient X-W/(G) over tilde (W) and the total ancestor potential of FJRW invariants corresponding to (W, G(W)). Here G(W) is the maximal group of diagonal symmetries of W and (G) over tilde (W) is a quotient of G(W) by the subgroup of those elements that act trivially on X-W. In particular, our result establishes the so-called Landau-Ginzburg/Calabi-Yau correspondence for the pair (W, G(W)).

Abstract:The bases{(αn)_i~(z)=(1±z)n-i(1■z)i,0≤i≤n}of linear polynomial space C_(n+1)[z]were constructed from a bilinear transformation function.The resultant matrices and generalized Bezoutians for polynomials under such bases were investigated.The greatest common divisor of two polynomials were computed in terms of the resultant matrices.Two fast algorithm formulas for the elements of generalized Bezoutians of order nwere given,and the costs of the algorithms were o(n~2).Connections between these two classes of matrices were also discussed.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the construction of the polynomial tau-functions of the symplectic KP (SKP), orthogonal KP (OKP) hierarchies and universal character hierarchy of B-type (BUC hierarchy), which are proved as zero modes of certain combinations of the generating functions. By applying the strategy of carrying out the action of the quantum fields on vacuum vector, the generating functions for symplectic Schur function, orthogonal Schur function and generalized Q-function have been presented. The remarkable feature is that polynomial tau-functions are the coefficients of certain family of generating functions. Furthermore, in terms of the Vandermonde-like identity and properties of Pfaffian, it is showed that the polynomial tau-functions of the SKP, OKP and BUC hierarchies canbe written as determinant and Pfaffian forms, respectively. In addition, the soliton solutions of the SKP and OKP hierarchies have been discussed.

Abstract:In this paper, we study positive Toeplitz operators on the Bergman space via their Berezin transforms. Surprisingly we show that the positivity of a Toeplitz operator on the Bergman space is not completely determined by the positivity of the Berezin transform of its symbol. In fact, we show that even if the minimal value of the Berezin transform of a quadratic polynomial of |z| on the unit disk is positive, the Toeplitz operator with the function as the symbol may not be positive.

Abstract:A connection between matrix orthogonal polynomials and non-abelian integrable lattices is investigated in this paper. The normalization factors of matrix orthogonal polynomials expressed using quasi-determinants are shown to be the solutions to the non-abelian Toda lattice in semi-discrete and full-discrete cases. Moreover, with a moment modification method, we demonstrate that the Bäcklund transformation of the non-abelian Toda lattice given by Popowicz (1983) is equivalent to the non-abelian Volterra lattice, whose solutions can be expressed using quasi-determinants as well.

Abstract: Motivated by Barr{\'\i}a-Halmos's \cite[Question 19]{barria1982asymptotic} and Halmos's \cite[Problem 237]{Halmos1978A}, we explore projections in Toeplitz algebra on the Hardy space. We show that the product of two Toeplitz (Hankel) operators is a projection if and only if it is the projection onto one of the invariant subspaces of the shift (backward shift) operator. As a consequence one obtains new proofs of criterion for Toeplitz operators and Hankel operators to be partial isometries. Furthermore, we completely characterize when the self-commutator of a Toeplitz operator is a projection. This provides a class of nontrivial projections in Toeplitz algebra.

Abstract:In this paper we discuss some algebraic properties of Toeplitz operators with separately quasihomogeneous symbols (i.e., symbols being of the form xi(k) phi(vertical bar z(1)vertical bar,...,vertical bar z(n)vertical bar)) on the Bergman space of the unit ball in C(n). We provide a decomposition of L(2)(B(n), dv), then we use it to show that the zero product of two Toeplitz operators has only a trivial solution if one of the symbols is separately quasihomogeneous and the other is arbitrary. Also, we describe the commutant of a Toeplitz operator whose symbol is radial.

Abstract:We study the inverses of block Toeplitz matrices based on the analysis of the block cyclic displacement. New formulas for the inverses of block Toeplitz matrices are proposed. We show that the inverses of block Toeplitz matrices can be decomposed as a sum of products of block circulant matrices. In the scalar case, the inverse formulas are proved to be numerically forward stable, if the Toeplitz matrix is nonsingular and well conditioned.

Abstract:We use the theory of abstract Wiener spaces to construct a probabilistic model for Berezin-Toeplitz quantization on a complete Hermitian complex manifold endowed with a positive line bundle. We associate to a function with compact support (a classical observable) a family of square-integrable Gaussian holomorphic sections. Our focus then is on the asymptotic distributions of their zeros in the semiclassical limit, in particular, we prove equidistribution results, large deviation estimates, and central limit theorems of the random zeros on the support of the given function. One of the key ingredients of our approach is the local asymptotic expansions of Berezin-Toeplitz kernels with non-smooth symbols.
