Abstract:Zn1-xCdxS(x=0-1) nanoparticles were successfully synthesized via ultrasonic method by using zinc nitrate,cadmium chloride and thioacetamide as the raw material,the aqueous solution of ionic liquid(IL) as the solvent.The crystal form,morphology and optical properties of the samples were characterized by XRD,SEM,and UV-Vis techniques.Ultra-violet as light source and Rhodamine B as the target degradable substances evaluated the photocatalytic activity of the Zn1-xCdxS nanoparticles.The experimental results showed that Zn1-xCdxS nanoparticles of different particle sizes could be obtained by adjusting the ratio of Zn and Cd.Meanwhile,with the value of x increasesed,the absorption band of Zn1-xCdxS can be red-shifted and the ability of photocatalytic degradation to Rhodamine B became strong.Amongst Zn0.25Cd0.75S had the highest photocatalytic performance.The contrast experiment showed that the smaller nanoparticle size and the stronger photocatalytic activity can be obtained through synergistic effect of ionic liquid and ultrasound,which might derive from the adsorption of the ionic liquid on the primary nanoparticles and the rapid nucleation under ultrasound.
