Abstract:In this paper,we mainly talk about the functional inequalities on graph.With unbounded Laplacians,by use of the completeness and ultracontractivity,we prove the log-Sobolev inequality and that the ultracontractivity is equal to Nash inequality on graph.

Abstract:We prove the equivalence between some functional inequalities and the ultracontractivity property of the heat semigroup on infinite graphs. These functional inequalities include Sobolev inequalities, Nash inequalities, Faber–Krahn inequalities, and log-Sobolev inequalities. We also show that, under the assumptions of volume growth and CDE( n , 0), which is regarded as the natural notion of curvature on graphs, these four functional inequalities and the ultracontractivity property of the heat semigroup are all true on graphs.

Abstract:In this paper, we derive Li-Yau inequality for unbounded Laplacian on complete weighted graphs with the assumption of the curvature dimension inequality CDE′(n,K), which can be regarded as a notion of curvature on graphs. Furthermore, we obtain some applications of Li-Yau inequality, including Harnack inequality, heat kernel bounds and Cheng's eigenvalue estimate. These are the first kind of results in this direction for unbounded Laplacian on graphs.

Abstract:Based on a global estimate of the heat kernel, some important inequalities such as Poincaré inequality and log-Sobolev inequality, furthermore a tight logarithm Sobolev inequality are presented on graphs, just under a positive curvature condition ′ (, ) with some > 0. As consequences, we obtain exponential integrability of integrable Lipschitz functions and moment bounds at the same assumption on graphs.

Abstract:We study functional and geometric inequalities on complete Finsler measure spaces with the weighted Ricci curvature bounded below. We first obtain some local uniform Poincaré inequalities and Sobolev inequalities. Then, we prove a mean value inequality for nonnegative subsolutions of elliptic equations. Further, we derive local and global Harnack inequalities for positive harmonic functions. Finally, we establish a global gradient estimate for positive harmonic functions on forward complete non-compact Finsler measure spaces. Besides, as an application of the mean value inequality, we prove a Liouville type theorem for harmonic functions.

Abstract:We prove the Li-Yau gradient estimate for the heat kernel on graphs. The only assumption is a variant of the curvature-dimension inequality, which is purely local, and can be considered as a new notion of curvature for graphs. We compute this curvature for lattices and trees and conclude that it behaves more naturally than the already existing notions of curvature. Moreover, we show that if a graph has non-negative curvature then it has polynomial volume growth. We also derive Harnack inequalities and heat kernel bounds from the gradient estimate, and show how it can be used to strengthen the classical Buser inequality relating the spectral gap and the Cheeger constant of a graph.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the existence and nonexistence of solutions of a system of inequalities where ( V , E ) is an infinite, connected, locally finite weighted graph, p > 1, q > 1, h 1 , h 2 are positive potential functions and Δ is the standard graph Laplacian. We prove that, under some growth assumptions on weighted volume of balls and the existence of a suitable distance on the graph, any nonnegative solution of the above system must be trivial. We also give an application to the N -dimensional integer lattice graph Z N and show the sharpness of the obtained result. In particular, our result is a natural extension of the recent result [Monticelli, D. D.—Punzo, F.—Somaglia, J.: Nonexistence results for semilinear elliptic equations on weighted graphs , arXiv:2306.03609, (2023)] from a single inequality to a system of inequalities.

Abstract:For an inequality system defined by a possibly infinite family of proper functions (not necessarily lower semicontinuous), we introduce some new notions of constraint qualifications in terms of the epigraphs of the conjugates of these functions. Under the new constraint qualifications, we obtain characterizations of those reverse-convex inequalities which are a consequence of the constrained system, and we provide necessary and/or sufficient conditions for a stable Farkas lemma to hold. Similarly, we provide characterizations for constrained minimization problems to have the strong or strong stable Lagrangian dualities. Several known results in the conic programming problem are extended and improved.

Abstract:We prove the existence of the O-U Dirichlet form and the damped O-U Dirichlet form on path space over a general non-compact Riemannian manifold which is complete and stochastically complete. We show a weighted log-Sobolev inequality for the O-U Dirichlet form and the (standard) log-Sobolev inequality for the damped O-U Dirichlet form. In particular, the Poincaré inequality (and the super Poincaré inequality) can be established for the O-U Dirichlet form on path space over a class of Riemannian manifolds with unbounded Ricci curvatures. Moreover, we construct a large class of quasi-regular local Dirichlet forms with unbounded random diffusion coefficients on path space over a general non-compact manifold.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove a couple of new nonlinear functional inequalities of Sobolev type akin to the logarithmic Sobolev inequality. In particular, one of the inequalities reads $$ \int_{\mathbb{S}^1}\arctan\left(\frac{\partial_x u}{u}\right)\partial_xu \,dx\geq \arctan\left(\|u(t)\|_{\dot{W}^{1,1}(\mathbb{S}^1)}\right)\|u(t)\|_{\dot{W}^{1,1}(\mathbb{S}^1)}. $$ Then, these inequalities are used in the study of the nonlinear \emph{arctan}-fast diffusion equation $$ \partial_t u-\partial_x\arctan\left(\frac{\partial_x u}{u}\right)=0. $$ For this highly nonlinear PDE we establish a number of well-posedness results and qualitative properties.

Abstract:In this article, we prove various gradient estimates for unbounded graph Laplacians which satisfy the ellipticity condition. Unlike common assumptions for unbounded Laplacians, i.e. completeness and non-degenerate measure, the ellipticity condition is purely local that is easy to verify on a graph. First, we establish an equivalent semigroup property, namely the gradient estimate of exponential curvaturedimension inequality, which is a modification of the curvature-dimension inequality and can be viewed as a notion of curvature on graphs. Additionally, we use the semigroup method to prove the Li-Yau inequalities and the Hamilton inequality for unbounded Laplacians on graphs with the ellipticity condition. Abstract:In this paper we derive a variety of functional inequalities for general homogeneous invariant hypoelliptic differential operators on nilpotent Lie groups. The obtained inequalities include Hardy, Sobolev, Rellich, Hardy–Littllewood–Sobolev, Gagliardo–Nirenberg, Caffarelli–Kohn–Nirenberg and Heisenberg–Pauli–Weyl type uncertainty inequalities. Some of these estimates have been known in the case of the sub-Laplacians, however, for more general hypoelliptic operators almost all of them appear to be new as no approaches for obtaining such estimates have been available. The approach developed in this paper relies on establishing integral versions of Hardy inequalities on homogeneous Lie groups, for which we also find necessary and sufficient conditions for the weights for such inequalities to be true. Consequently, we link such integral Hardy inequalities to different hypoelliptic inequalities by using the Riesz and Bessel kernels associated to the described hypoelliptic operators.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to begin a systematic study of functional inequalities on symmetric spaces of noncompact type of higher rank. Our first main goal of this study is to establish the Stein–Weiss inequality, also known as a weighted Hardy–Littlewood–Sobolev inequality, for the Riesz potential on symmetric spaces of noncompact type. This is achieved by performing delicate estimates of ground spherical function with the use of polyhedral distance on symmetric spaces and by combining the integral Hardy inequality developed by Ruzhansky and Verma with the sharp Bessel-Green-Riesz kernel estimates on symmetric spaces of noncompact type obtained by Anker and Ji. As a consequence of the Stein–Weiss inequality, we deduce Hardy–Sobolev, Hardy–Littlewood–Sobolev, Gagliardo–Nirenberg and Caffarelli–Kohn–Nirenberg inequalities on symmetric spaces of noncompact type. The second main purpose of this paper is to show the applications of aforementioned inequalities for studying nonlinear PDEs on symmetric spaces. Specifically, we show that the Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality can be used to establish small data global existence results for the semilinear wave equations with damping and mass terms for the Laplace–Beltrami operator on symmetric spaces.
