NEW RECORD OF GENUS ATRACTOLYTOCESTUS IN CHINA WITH REDESCRIPTION OF A-SAGITTATUS (CESTODA, CARYOPHYLLIDEA) FROM CYPRINUS CARPIO

Abstract:Atractolytocestus and A. sagittaus are recorded for the first time in China. A. sagittaus is redescribed and illustrated based on specimens collected from the typical host, the common carp (Cyprinus carpio), from the Yangtze River drainage in central China. In addition, the taxonomic status of Khawia tenuicollis Li, 1964, showing typical characters of Atractolytocestus, was also discussed.
