Abstract:An analysis of the fauna of the 18 genera, 370 species and 7 subspecies of Clytini recorded in China clarified the biodiversity and geographic distribution of this tribe. Four and 10 genera belong to the Northern and the Southern faunal parts, respectively, while the remaining 4 genera are unidentified about their positions, accounting for 22.22%, 55.55% and 22.22% of the total. The Southern faunal part is predominant according to their quantity and compacity of genera. This is also true of the composition of the species: 81 species and 3 subspecies belong to the Northern faunal part, accounting for 22.28% of the total; 258 species and 3 subspecies belong to the Southern faunal part, accounting for 69.23% of the total; and the remainder are non-identified, accounting for 7.43% of the total.
