Abstract:This paper deals with six species of the genus Macrobathra Meyrick fiom China. Descriptions and illustrations of a new species, Macrobathra latipterophora sp. nov. and a new record species Macrobathra quercea Moriuti are given. A key to all the described Chinese species is provided.

Abstract:The genus Macquartia Robineau-Desvoidy (Diptera, Tachinidae) with 29 known species is a large group of Macquartiini of Tachininae and widely distributed in the Old World and the Nearctic Region.In this study, Chinese specimens of Macquartia were collected and examined, sixteen species are recognised: thirteen previously described, M. brunneisqua Zhang et Li, M. chinensis Zhang et Li, M. flavifemorata Zhang et Li, M. flavipedicel Zhang et Li, M. chalconota (Meigen), M. dispar (Fallén), M. grisea (Fallén), M. macularis Villeneuve, M. nudigena Mesnil, M. picta (Meigen), M. pubiceps (Zetterstedt), M. tenebricosa (Meigen) and M. viridana Robineau-Desvoidy and three species new to science, M. barkamensis sp. n. (Sichuan), M. setifacies sp. n. (Qinghai) and M. sichuanensis sp. n. (Sichuan). An identification key to the sixteen species of Macquartia known from China is included, along with 80 anatomical figures.

Abstract:The genus Termioptycha Meyrick, 1889 from China is reviewed. Among the ten species studied, T. longiclavata sp. nov., T. longispina sp. nov., T. nigrimacularis sp. nov. and T. cornutitrifurca sp. nov. are described as new; T. conjuncta(Warren, 1896), comb. rev. is re-allocated in this genus from Salma Walker, 1863; and T. conjuncta and T. eucarta(Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875) are newly recorded in China. Photographs of adults and genitalia are provided. A key to the ten species in China based on male genitalia is provided.

Abstract:The research history of the genus Eucoptacra is reviewed, the Chinese species are summarized, and one new species, E. maculifemura, is described. This new species is allied to E. binghami Uvarov and E. megaocula Wang et al., but differs in: width of frontal ridge between antennae 1.5 times interocular distance; 1st segment of hind tarsi obviously wider than the 3rd segment; and outer side of hind femur with 3 big black spots. Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University.

Seven species are newly recorded for China: L. alpestra Park, 2005, L. alpina Park, 2016, L. chersitis Meyrick, 1918, L. haviensis Park, 2016, L. neosticta Meyrick, 1918, L. orbiculata Park, 2010 and L. rubigona Park, 2006. The females of four species are described for the first time: L. alpina, L. haviensis, L. neosticta and L. orbiculata. Six new combinations are proposed: Lecithocera platomona (Wu, 1997) comb. nov. and L. stimulata (Wu, 1994) comb. nov. transferred from the genus Quassitagma; L. frisilina (Gozmány, 1978) comb. nov. transferred from the genus Recontracta; L. baliocata (Wu, 1994) comb. nov., L. sarmenta (Wu, 1994) comb. nov. and L. stictata (Wu, 1994) comb. nov. transferred from the genus Galoxestis. Images of adults and genitalia for all treated species are given, along with a checklist of all Chinese species of Lecithocera.

Abstract:Eighteen species of the genus Macropes Motschulsky from China are treated in the paper, in which M. varipennis (Walker, 1872) and M. dilutus Distant, 1901 are newly recorded from China; M. bambusiphilus Zheng & Zou, 1982 and M. slateri Zheng & Wang, 1987 are treated as new junior synonymies of M. robustus Zheng & Zou, 1982; three of them, M. complanus sp. nov., M. testaceus sp. nov., and M. peculiaris sp. nov., are described as new to science. Photographs of all eighteen species and drawings of genitalia of new species and newly recorded species from China are illustrated, along with those modified parts of the key to the World species of Macropes in Slater (1979). The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, College of Life Sciences, Nankai University, Tianjin, China.

Abstract:Seven new species of the genus Macropsis from China, M. adusta sp. nov., M. exteria sp. nov., M. hainanensis sp. nov., M. latiaedeagus sp. nov., M. lijiangensis sp. nov., M. robusta sp. nov. and M. tuberculiformis sp. nov. are described and illustrated; three species, M. emeljanovi Dubovskiy, 1966, M. illota (Horvath, 1899) and M. orientalis (Distant, 1916) are recorded from China for the first time; M. flavida Vilbaste, 1980 = M. recurvus Kuoh, 1981 syn. nov. and M. matsumurana (China, 1925) = M. pallidinota Kuoh, 1992 syn. nov. are redescribed and illustrated basing on the materials from China. A replacement name, M. zizhongi Li, Dai et Li, nom. nov. for the junior homonym M. gracilis Li et Liang, 2005 (nec Dubovskiy, 1966) is established.

Abstract:A total of three tribes, 38 genera and 148 species of Thyatirinae from China are listed together with one dubious record. Of these, one new species, Stenopsestis bruna sp. nov., is described. Macrothyatira danieli Werny, 1966, stat. rev., is restored to specific rank. Cymatophora subampliata Houlbert, 1921, is downgraded to subspecific rank as Tethea (Tethea) albicostata subampliata (Houlbert, 1921), stat. nov. Two genera, four species and three subspecies are recorded for the first time from China (Chiropsestis Laszlo, Ronkay & Ronkay, 2001, Hiroshia Laszlo, Ronkay & Ronkay, 2001, Chiropsestis rubrocinerea Laszlo, Ronkay & Ronkay, 2001, Hiroshia albinigra Laszlo, Ronkay & Ronkay, 2001, Parapsestis hausmanni Laszlo, Ronkay, Ronkay & Witt, 2007, Spica luteola Swinhoe, 1889, Parapsestis cinerea pacifica Laszlo, Ronkay, Ronkay & Witt, 2007, Tethea (Saronaga) consimilis aurisigna Bryk, 1943, Nothoploca nigripunctata fansipana Laszlo, Ronkay & Ronkay, 2001). Ten misidentifications in Zhao (2004) are corrected. Illustrations of external features and genitalia of the new taxa and new records are presented.

Abstract:The genus Parantica is represented in China by four species:Parantica aglea(Stoll),P.sita(Kollar),P.pedonga Fujioka,and P.melaneus(Cramer).P.hainanica Chou et Yuan,2001 is proposed as a new synonym of P.aglea(Stoll,1782).Furthermore,generic diagnosis,world checklist of the genus,a key to Chinese species are included,and Chinese species are described and illustrated in this paper with distribution and host data.The specimens examined are deposited separately in the Shanghai Entomological Museum,Chinese Academy of Sciences(SEMCAS),Tianjin Natural Museum(TNM),which are indicated after specimen record;and also in the Entomological Museum,Northwest A & F University(not indicated).
