Abstract:Through heat treatment process of intercritical annealing & quenching & partitioning (I&Q&P),the effects of austenitized holding temperature on microstructure and properties of low-carbon steel were investigated by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD).The results show that when the austenitized temperature (A T) rises to 950℃,the ferrite in the two phase region is completely transformed into austenite. The microstructure at room temperature is martensite. With austenitized holding temperature increasing, martensite lath becomes thick, the spacing between the laths becomes large, and martensite grains become larger. When A T=930 ℃,microstructure at room temperature contains ferrite, and Mn element does not fully gather in the austenite. The elongation reache s maximum value(24.45%),tensile strength is minimum(1084 MPa),and retained austenite is minimum (7.02%).WhenA T=950 ℃,full austenite isrealized,Mn element concentration is the highest, the elongation decreases but maximum values of tensile strength and retained austenite are 1267 MPa,9.83%,respectively.When A T=970 ℃,Mn element in austenite diffuses uniformly, martensite grains become larger, lath spacing becomes wide, the elongation reaches minimum value(232%),the tensile strength reduces and the residual auistenite volume decreases to 8.8 7%.
