Abstract:Pilot-scale experimental models to optimize the operation of recycling sludge in both summer and winter were applied, and the impact of blended water turbidity on coagulant dosage was investigated at different recycling ratios of sedimentation sludge to filter backwash water. The results indicated that,to meet the effluent turbidity standard (< 2.5 NTU),the optimized recycling ratio was 6% ∶4%,and the blended water turbidity was in range of 100-175 NTU in summer. The corresponding coagulant dose was in range of 4-5 mg/L,which was reduced by 33.3%.In winter, the optimized recycling ratio was 6% ∶ 2%,and the blended water turbidity was in range of 80-105 NTU.The corresponding coagulant dose was in range of 9-10 mg/L,reduced by 25%.No significant accumulation was observed in sedimentation effluent turbidity during the entire recycling process.
