Abstract:We present necessary and sufficient conditions under which the anti-triangular matrix $\left( \begin{array}{cc} a&b 1&0 \end{array} \right)$ over a Banach algebra has g-Drazin inverse. New additive results for g-Drazin inverse are obtained. Then we apply our results to $2\times 2$ operator matrices and generalize many known results, e.g.,~\cite[Theorem 2.2]{D}, ~\cite[Theorem 2.1]{YL} and \cite[Theorem 4.1]{Y}.

Abstract:The famous Drazin inverse and generalized Drazin inverse were introduced by Drazin in 1958 and Koliha in 1996, respectively. In the present paper, the author introduces the concepts of left and right (generalized) Drazin inverses, which are the one-sided versions of classical (generalized) Drazin inverses, in Banach algebras. Several characterizations of one-sided (generalized) Drazin invertible operators on Banach spaces are given. By utilizing the one-sided Drazin invertible spectra, the characterizations of B-Fredholm spectra for Banach space operators are obtained. These perturbational results can be regarded as generalizations of classical Fredholm theory in Banach spaces.

Abstract:We present equivalent conditions of reverse order law for the $(b, c)$-inverse $(aw)^{(b,c)}=w^{(b,s)}a^{(t,c)}$ to hold in a ring. Also, we study various mixed-type reverse order laws for the $(b,c)$-inverse. As a consequence, we get results related to the reverse order law for the inverse along an element. More general case of reverse order law $(a_1a_2)^{(b_3, c_3)}=a_2^{(b_2, c_2)}a_1^{(b_1, c_1)}$ is considered too.

Abstract:Reverse order law for the Moore-Penrose inverses of tensors are useful in the field of multilinear algebra. In this paper, we first prove some more identities involving the Moore-Penrose inverse of tensors. We then obtain a few necessary and sufficient conditions for the reverse order law for the Moore-Penrose inverse of tensors via the Einstein product.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with constructions and characterizations of matrix equalities that involve mixed products of Moore–Penrose inverses and group inverses of two matrices. We first construct a mixed reverse-order law ( A ⁢ B ) † = B ∗ ⁢ ( A ∗ ⁢ A ⁢ B ⁢ B ∗ ) # ⁢ A ∗ , and show that this matrix equality always holds through the use of a special matrix rank equality and some matrix range operations, where A and B are two matrices of appropriate sizes, ( ⋅ ) ∗ , ( ⋅ ) † and ( ⋅ ) # mean the conjugate transpose, the Moore–Penrose inverse, and the group inverse of a matrix, respectively. We then give a diverse range of variation forms of this equality, and derive necessary and sufficient conditions for them to hold. Especially, we show an interesting fact that the two reverse-order laws ( A ⁢ B ) † = B † ⁢ A † and ( A ∗ ⁢ A ⁢ B ⁢ B ∗ ) # = ( B ⁢ B ∗ ) # ⁢ ( A ∗ ⁢ A ) # are equivalent.

The g-Drazin invertibility of certain block operator matrices on a Banach space is thereby established. These results extend many known results, e.g., by Yang and Liu [J. Comput. Applied Math. 235 , 1412–1417 (2011)] and Dopazo and Martinez-Serrano [Linear Algebra Appl. 432 , 1896–1904 (2010)].

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a new concept called left (right) g-MP inverse in a $*$-monoid. The relations of this type of generalized inverse with left inverse along an element are investigated. Also, the reverse order law for the inverse along an element is studied. Then, the existence criteria and formulae of the inverse of the product of triple elements along an element are investigated in a monoid. Finally, we further study left and right g-MP inverses, the inverse along an element in the context of rings.

Abstract:In this study, we derive the Drazin inverse (A+εB)D{\left(A+\varepsilon B)}^{D} of the complex matrix A+εBA+\varepsilon B with Ind(A+εB)>1{\rm{Ind}}\left(A+\varepsilon B)\gt 1 and Ind(A)=k{\rm{Ind}}\left(A)=k and the group inverse (A+εB)#{\left(A+\varepsilon B)}^{\#} of the complex matrix A+εBA+\varepsilon B with Ind(A+εB)=1{\rm{Ind}}\left(A+\varepsilon B)=1 and Ind(A)=k{\rm{Ind}}\left(A)=k when εB\varepsilon B is viewed as the perturbation of AA. If the dual Drazin inverse (DDGI) A^DDGI{\widehat{A}}^{{\rm{DDGI}}} of A^\widehat{A} is considered as a notation.
