Abstract:To study the prescribed $k$ -curvature problem of 2nd-order symmetric curvature tensors on complete noncompact Riemannian manifolds, we consider a class of fully nonlinear elliptic partial differential equations. It is proved that on a Riemannian manifold with negative sectional curvature and Ricci curvature bounded from below, the equation is solvable provided that all the eigenvalues of the tensor are negative. The result is applicable to the prescribed $k$ -curvature problems of modified Schouten tensor and Bakry–Émery Ricci tensor.

Abstract:We prove that the Gromov–Hausdorff limit of Kähler–Ricci flow on a G -spherical Fano manifold X is a G -spherical ℚ -Fano variety X_∞ , which admits a (singular) Kähler–Ricci soliton. Moreover, the G -spherical variety structure of X_∞ can be constructed as a center of torus ℂ^* -degeneration of X induced by an element in the Lie algebra of Cartan torus of G .

Abstract:In this paper, we study the geometry of compact complex manifolds with Levi-Civita Ricci-flat metrics and prove that compact complex surfaces admitting Levi-Civita Ricci-flat metrics are Kähler Calabi-Yau surfaces or Hopf surfaces.

Abstract:As a generalization of Calabi’s conjecture for Kähler-Ricci forms, which was solved by Yau in 1977, we discuss the existence of Kähler-Ricci soliton typed equation on a compact Kähler manifold (M, g) with positive first Chem C1 (M) > 0 as well as the uniqueness. For a given positively definite (1,1)-form Ω ∈ C1 (M) of M and a holomorphic vector field X on M, we prove that there is a Kähler form ω in the Kähler class [ωg] solving the Kähler-Ricci soliton typed equation if and only if, i) X is belonged to a reductive subalgebra of holomorphic vector fields and the imaginary part of X generates a compact one-parameter transformations subgroup of M; and ii) LX Ω is a real-valued (1,1)-form. Moreover, the solution ω is unique in the class [ωg].

Abstract:We prove the existence of Kahler-Einstein metric on a K-stable Fano manifold using the recent compactness result on Kahler-Ricci flows. The key ingredient is an algebro-geometric description of the asymptotic behavior of Kahler-Ricci flow on Fano manifolds. This is in turn based on a general finite dimensional discussion, which is interesting in its own and could potentially apply to other problems. As one application, we relate the asymptotics of the Calabi flow on a polarized Kahler manifold to K-stability assuming bounds on geometry.

Abstract:The existence of Kähler-Einstein metrics on a compact Kähler manifold hasbeen the subject of intensive study over the last few decades, following Yau'ssolution to Calabi's conjecture. The Ricci flow, introduced by Richard Hamiltonhas become one of the most powerful tools in geometric analysis. We study the Kähler-Ricci flow on minimal surfaces of Kodaira dimension oneand show that the flow collapses and converges to a unique canonical metric onits canonical model. Such a canonical is a generalized Kähler-Einsteinmetric. Combining the results of Cao, Tsuji, Tian and Zhang, we give a metricclassification for Käher surfaces with a numerical effective canonical linebundle by the Kähler-Ricci flow. In general, we propose a program of findingcanonical metrics on canonical models of projective varieties of positiveKodaira dimension.
On $κ$-solutions and canonical neighborhoods in 4d Ricci flow

Abstract:We introduce a classification conjecture for $\kappa$-solutions in 4d Ricci flow. Our conjectured list includes known examples from the literature, but also a new 1-parameter family of $\mathbb{Z}_2^2\times \mathrm{O}_3$-symmetric bubble-sheet ovals that we construct. We observe that some special cases of the conjecture follow from recent results in the literature. We also introduce a stronger variant of the classification conjecture for ancient asymptotically cylindrical 4d Ricci flows, which does not assume smoothness and nonnegative curvature operator a priori. Assuming this stronger variant holds true, we establish a canonical neighborhood theorem for 4d Ricci flow through cylindrical singularities, which shares some elements in common with Perelman's canonical neighborhood theorem for 3d Ricci flow as well as the mean-convex neighborhood theorem for mean curvature flow through neck-singularities. Finally, we argue that quotient-necks lead to new phenomena, and sketch an example of non-uniqueness for 4d Ricci flow through singularities.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove that any solution of Kähler-Ricci flow on a Fano compactification M of semisimple complex Lie group, is of type II, if M admits no Kähler-Einstein metrics. As an application, we found two Fano compactifications of SO_4(ℂ) and one Fano compactification of Sp_4(ℂ), on which the Kähler-Ricci flow will develop singularities of type II. To the authors' knowledge, these are the first examples of Ricci flow with singularities of type II on Fano manifolds in the literature.

Abstract:Suppose {( M , g ( t )), 0 ≤ t < ∞} is a Kähler Ricci flow solution on a Fano surface. If | Rm | is not uniformly bounded along this flow, we can blowup at the maximal curvature points to obtain a limit complete Riemannian manifold X . We show that X must have certain topological and geometric properties. Using these properties, we are able to prove that | Rm | is uniformly bounded along every Kähler Ricci flow on toric Fano surface, whose initial metric has toric symmetry. In particular, such a Kähler Ricci flow must converge to a Kähler Ricci soliton metric. Therefore we give a new Ricci flow proof of the existence of Kähler Ricci soliton metrics on toric Fano surfaces.

Abstract:In this note, we prove that on an $n$-dimensional compact toric manifold with positive first Chern class, the Kähler-Ricci flow with any initial $(S^1)^n$-invariant Kähler metric converges to a Kähler-Ricci soliton. In particular, we give another proof for the existence of Kähler-Ricci solitons on a compact toric manifold with positive first Chern class by using the Kähler-Ricci flow.

Abstract:This is a continuation of our previous paper on settling the non-compact version of Calabi's conjecture on open manifold. In both these papers, open manifolds will mean quasiprojective manifolds M which can be written as MBAR\D. We are constructing complete Kahler metrics on M with either zero Ricci curvature or non-negative Ricci curvature. As was explained in the program outlined by the second author in the Congress in Helsinki, D is related to the zeroes of a section of K(MBAR)-1. In our previous paper [TY1], we dealt with the case when the multiplicity is equal to one. In this paper, we finish the case when the multiplicity is greater than one. We also allow orbifold type singularities in all these discussions. Our constructions include practically all known examples of complete Kahler manifolds with zero Ricci curvature of finite topological type. (It should be noted that M. Anderson, P. Kronheimer and Le Brun have recently constructed such examples with infinite topological type.) Besides constructing many new examples of such manifolds which may serve as gravitational instantons, these matrices provide a bridge between metric geometry and algebraic geometry of M because we do have some understanding of complete manifolds with non-negative curvature.

Abstract:In this short note, we announce a regularity theorem for the Kahler-Ricci flow on a compact Fano manifold (Kahler manifold with positive first Chern class) and its application to the limiting behavior of the Kahler-Ricci flow on Fano 3-manifolds. Moreover, we also present a partial C-0 estimate of the Kahler-Ricci flow under the regularity assumption, which extends previous works on Kahler-Einstein metrics and shrinking Kahler-Ricci solitons.
