Abstract:In this note we provide a proof of the following: Any compact KRS with positive bisectional curvature is biholomorphic to the complex projective space. As a corollary, we obtain an alternative proof of the Frankel conjecture by using the K\"ahler-Ricci flow.

Abstract:We prove that the Gromov–Hausdorff limit of Kähler–Ricci flow on a G -spherical Fano manifold X is a G -spherical ℚ -Fano variety X_∞ , which admits a (singular) Kähler–Ricci soliton. Moreover, the G -spherical variety structure of X_∞ can be constructed as a center of torus ℂ^* -degeneration of X induced by an element in the Lie algebra of Cartan torus of G .

Abstract:In this paper, we prove that a sequence of weak almost Kahler-Ricci solitons under further suitable conditions converges to a Kahler-Ricci soliton with complex codimension of singularities at least 2 in the Gromov-Hausdorff topology. As a corollary, we show that on a Fano manifold with the modified K-energy bounded below, there exists a sequence of weak almost Kahler-Ricci solitons which converges to a Kahler-Ricci soliton with complex codimension of singularities at least 2 in the Gromov-Hausdorff topology.

Abstract:These are the notes for lectures given at the Sanya winter school in complex analysis and geometry in January 2016. In Sec. 1, we review the meaning of Ricci curvature of Kähler metrics and introduce the problem of finding Kähler–Einstein metrics. In Sec. 2, we describe the formal picture that leads to the notion of K-stability of Fano manifolds, which is an algebro-geometric criterion for the existence of a Kähler–Einstein metric, by the recent result of Chen–Donaldson–Sun. In Sec. 3, we discuss algebraic structure on Gromov–Hausdorff limits, which is a key ingredient in the proof of the Kähler–Einstein result. In Sec. 4, we give a brief survey of the more recent work on tangent cones of singular Kähler–Einstein metrics arising from Gromov–Hausdorff limits, and the connections with algebraic geometry.

Abstract:We classify simply connected compact Sasaki manifolds of dimension 2n+1 with positive transverse bisectional curvature. In particular, the Kähler cone corresponding to such manifolds must be bi-holomorphic to Cn+1\{0}. As an application we recover the theorem of Mori and Siu–Yau on the Frankel conjecture and extend it to certain orbifold version. The main idea is to deform such Sasaki manifolds to the standard round sphere in two steps, both fixing the complex structure on the Kähler cone. First, we deform the metric along the Sasaki–Ricci flow and obtain a limit Sasaki–Ricci soliton with positive transverse bisectional curvature. Then by varying the Reeb vector field which essentially decreases the volume functional, we deform the Sasaki–Ricci soliton to a Sasaki–Einstein metric with positive transverse bisectional curvature, i.e. a round sphere. The second deformation is only possible when one treats simultaneously regular and irregular Sasaki manifolds, even if the manifold one starts with is regular (quasi-regular), i.e. Kähler manifolds (orbifolds).

As an application, on every toric Fano surface, we prove that \KRf converges to a Kähler Ricci soliton metric if the initial metric has toric symmetry. Therefore we give a new Ricci flow proof of existence of Kähler Ricci soliton metrics on toric surfaces.

Abstract:We introduce a new holomorphic invariant on any compact Kahler manifolds with positive first Chern class and nontrivial holomorphic vector fields, which contains the Futaki invariant as a special case. This invariant is shown to be an obstruction to the existence of Kahler-Ricci solitons. By solving a complex Monge-Ampere equation, we prove the uniqueness of Kahler-Ricci solitons. Abstract:We prove the existence of Kahler-Einstein metric on a K-stable Fano manifold using the recent compactness result on Kahler-Ricci flows. The key ingredient is an algebro-geometric description of the asymptotic behavior of Kahler-Ricci flow on Fano manifolds. This is in turn based on a general finite dimensional discussion, which is interesting in its own and could potentially apply to other problems. As one application, we relate the asymptotics of the Calabi flow on a polarized Kahler manifold to K-stability assuming bounds on geometry.

Abstract:In this short note, we announce a regularity theorem for the Kahler-Ricci flow on a compact Fano manifold (Kahler manifold with positive first Chern class) and its application to the limiting behavior of the Kahler-Ricci flow on Fano 3-manifolds. Moreover, we also present a partial C-0 estimate of the Kahler-Ricci flow under the regularity assumption, which extends previous works on Kahler-Einstein metrics and shrinking Kahler-Ricci solitons. Abstract:Suppose {( M , g ( t )), 0 ≤ t < ∞} is a Kähler Ricci flow solution on a Fano surface. If | Rm | is not uniformly bounded along this flow, we can blowup at the maximal curvature points to obtain a limit complete Riemannian manifold X . We show that X must have certain topological and geometric properties. Using these properties, we are able to prove that | Rm | is uniformly bounded along every Kähler Ricci flow on toric Fano surface, whose initial metric has toric symmetry. In particular, such a Kähler Ricci flow must converge to a Kähler Ricci soliton metric. Therefore we give a new Ricci flow proof of the existence of Kähler Ricci soliton metrics on toric Fano surfaces.

Abstract:We show that if $X$ is a smooth Fano manifold which caries a Kähler Ricci soliton, then the canonical cone of the product of $X$ with a complex projective space of sufficiently large dimension is a Calabi--Yau cone. This can be seen as an asymptotic version of a conjecture by Mabuchi and Nikagawa. This result is obtained by the openness of the set of weight functions $v$ over the momentum polytope of a given smooth Fano manifold, for which a $v$-soliton exists. We discuss other ramifications of this approach, including a Licherowicz type obstruction to the existence of a Kähler Ricci soliton and a Fujita type volume bound for the existence of a $v$-soliton.

Abstract: In this note, we show that the solution of K\"ahler-Ricci flow on every Fano threefold from the family No.2.23 in the Mori-Mukai's list develops type II singularity. In fact, we show that no Fano threefold from the family No.2.23 admits K\"ahler-Ricci soliton and the Gromov-Hausdorff limit of the K\"ahler-Ricci flow must be a singular $\mathbb{Q}$-Fano variety. This gives new examples of Fano manifolds of the lowest dimension on which K\"ahler-Ricci flow develops type II singularity.

Abstract:The authors show that the 2-non-negative traceless bisectional curvature is preserved along the Kähler-Ricci flow. The positivity of Ricci curvature is also preserved along the Kähler-Ricci flow with 2-non-negative traceless bisectional curvature. As a corollary, the Kähler-Ricci flow with 2-non-negative traceless bisectional curvature will converge to a Kähler-Ricci soliton in the sense of Cheeger-Gromov-Hausdorff topology if complex dimension n ≥ 3.

Abstract:LLet $(M, g, f, J, \lambda)$ be a complete Kähler gradient Ricci soliton. In real dimension four, all currently known examples are toric and the symmetry is intrinsically related to the potential function $f$ and the scalar curvature $\SS$. Another article addresses the case that $f$ and $\SS$ are functionally independent. In this one, we consider the dependence case and deduce the symmetry and a complete classification accordingly. Specifically, integral curves of $\nabla f$ are reparamertrized geodesics and this property is closely related to the notion of isoparametric functions. Our first theorem concludes that the soliton must be either a product metric or of cohomogeneity one with deformed homogeneous Sasakian orbits. The second is a partially reverse statement in any dimension. Suppose that each regular level set of $f$ is a deformed contact metric structure then the soliton is totally determined by a regular Sasakian model, which is a Riemannian submersion over a Kähler-Einstein manifold. In particular, $f$ must be isoparametric. An important ingredient of the proof is a characterization of a deformed Sasakian structure which generalizes a classical result.
