Abstract:In this paper, we prove the existence of a Kahler Ricci soliton on any smooth Fano horospherical manifold by a study of the Kahler-Ricci flow. Indeed, we prove that the renormalized Kahler Ricci flow converges in the sense of Cheeger Gromov and that this limit is a Kahler-Ricci soliton.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove that a sequence of weak almost Kahler-Ricci solitons under further suitable conditions converges to a Kahler-Ricci soliton with complex codimension of singularities at least 2 in the Gromov-Hausdorff topology. As a corollary, we show that on a Fano manifold with the modified K-energy bounded below, there exists a sequence of weak almost Kahler-Ricci solitons which converges to a Kahler-Ricci soliton with complex codimension of singularities at least 2 in the Gromov-Hausdorff topology.

Abstract:In this paper we study a contracting flow of closed, convex hypersurfaces in the Euclidean space ℝ^n+1 with speed f r^α K, where K is the Gauss curvature, r is the distance from the hypersurface to the origin, and f is a positive and smooth function. If α≥ n+1, we prove that the flow exists for all time and converges smoothly after normalisation to a soliton, which is a sphere centred at the origin if f ≡ 1. Our argument provides a parabolic proof in the smooth category for the classical Aleksandrov problem, and resolves the dual q-Minkowski problem introduced by Huang, Lutwak, Yang and Zhang (Acta Math. 216 (2016): 325-388), for the case q<0. If α < n+1, corresponding to the case q>0, we also establish the same results for even function f and origin-symmetric initial condition, but for non-symmetric f, counterexample is given for the above smooth convergence.

Abstract:In this note, we prove that on an $n$-dimensional compact toric manifold with positive first Chern class, the Kähler-Ricci flow with any initial $(S^1)^n$-invariant Kähler metric converges to a Kähler-Ricci soliton. In particular, we give another proof for the existence of Kähler-Ricci solitons on a compact toric manifold with positive first Chern class by using the Kähler-Ricci flow.

Abstract:We show the properties of the blowup limits of \KRf solutions on Fano surfaces if Riemannian curvature is unbounded. As an application, on every toric Fano surface, we prove that \KRf converges to a Kähler Ricci soliton metric if the initial metric has toric symmetry. Therefore we give a new Ricci flow proof of existence of Kähler Ricci soliton metrics on toric surfaces.

Abstract:We introduce a flow of Kähler structures over Fano manifolds with formal limit at infinite time a Kähler-Ricci soliton. This flow correspond to a Perelman's modified backward Kähler-Ricci type flow that we call Soliton-Kähler-Ricci flow. It can be generated by the Soliton-Ricci flow. We assume that the Soliton-Ricci flow exists for all times and the Bakry-Emery-Ricci tensor preserve a positive uniform lower bound with respect to the evolving metric. In this case we show that the corresponding Soliton-Kähler-Ricci flow converges exponentially fast to a Kähler-Ricci soliton.

Abstract:Suppose {( M , g ( t )), 0 ≤ t < ∞} is a Kähler Ricci flow solution on a Fano surface. If | Rm | is not uniformly bounded along this flow, we can blowup at the maximal curvature points to obtain a limit complete Riemannian manifold X . We show that X must have certain topological and geometric properties. Using these properties, we are able to prove that | Rm | is uniformly bounded along every Kähler Ricci flow on toric Fano surface, whose initial metric has toric symmetry. In particular, such a Kähler Ricci flow must converge to a Kähler Ricci soliton metric. Therefore we give a new Ricci flow proof of the existence of Kähler Ricci soliton metrics on toric Fano surfaces.

Abstract: In this paper, we prove that on a Fano $\mathbf G$-manifold $(M,J)$, the Gromov-Hausdorff limit of K\"ahler-Ricci flow with initial metric in $2\pi c_1(M)$ must be a $\mathbb Q$-Fano horosymmetric variety $M_\infty$, which admits a singular K\"ahler-Ricci soliton. Moreover, $M_\infty$ is a limit of $\mathbb C^*$-degeneration of $M$ induced by an element in the Lie algebra of Cartan torus of $\mathbf G$. A similar result can be also proved for K\"ahler-Ricci flows on any Fano horosymmetric manifolds. As an application, we generalize our previous result about the type II singularity of K\"ahler-Ricci flows on Fano $\mathbf G$-manifolds to Fano horosymmetric manifolds.

Abstract:In this short note, we announce a regularity theorem for the Kahler-Ricci flow on a compact Fano manifold (Kahler manifold with positive first Chern class) and its application to the limiting behavior of the Kahler-Ricci flow on Fano 3-manifolds. Moreover, we also present a partial C-0 estimate of the Kahler-Ricci flow under the regularity assumption, which extends previous works on Kahler-Einstein metrics and shrinking Kahler-Ricci solitons. Abstract:Let ( M , J 0 ) (M,J_0) be a Fano manifold which admits a Kähler-Ricci soliton, we analyze the behavior of Kähler-Ricci flow near this soliton as we deform the complex structure J 0 J_0 . First, we will establish an inequality of Lojasiewicz’s type for Perelman’s entropy along the Kähler-Ricci flow. Then we prove the convergence of Kähler-Ricci flow when the complex structure associated to the initial value lies in the kernel Z Z or negative part of the second variation operator of Perelman’s entropy. As applications, we solve the Yau-Tian-Donaldson conjecture for the existence of Kähler-Ricci solitons in the moduli space of complex structures near J 0 J_0 , and we show that the kernel Z Z corresponds to the local moduli space of Fano manifolds which are modified K K -semistable. We also prove a uniqueness theorem for Kähler-Ricci solitons.

Abstract:This is the continuation of our earlier article [10]. For any Kähler-Einstein surfaces with positive scalar curvature, if the initial metric has positive bisectional curvature, then we have proved (see [10]) that the Kähler-Ricci flow converges exponentially to a unique Kähler-Einstein metric in the end. This partially answers a long-standing problem in Ricci flow: On a compact Kähler-Einstein manifold, does the Kähler-Ricci flow converge to a Kähler-Einstein metric if the initial metric has positive bisectional curvature? Abstract:In this paper, we first show an interpretation of the Kähler-Ricci flow ona manifold X as an exact elliptic equation of Einstein type on a manifold Mof which X is one of the (Kähler) symplectic reductions via a (non-trivial)torus action. There are plenty of such manifolds (e.g. any line bundle on Xwill do). Such an equation is called V-soliton equation, which can beregarded as a generalization of Kähler-Einstein equations or Kähler-Riccisolitons. As in the case of Kähler-Einstein metrics, we can also reduce theV-soliton equation to a scalar equation on Kähler potentials, which is ofMonge-Ampere type. We then prove some preliminary results towards establishingexistence of solutions for such a scalar equation on a compact Kählermanifold M. One of our motivations is to apply the interpretation to studyingfinite time singularities of the Kähler-Ricci flow.

Abstract: In our previous paper math.DG/0010008, we develop some new techniques in attacking the convergence problems for the K\"ahler Ricci flow. The one of main ideas is to find a set of new functionals on curvature tensors such that the Ricci flow is the gradient like flow of these functionals. We successfully find such functionals in case of Kaehler manifolds. On K\"ahler-Einstein manifold with positive scalar curvature, if the initial metric has positive bisectional curvature, we prove that these functionals have a uniform lower bound, via the effective use of Tian's inequality. Consequently, we prove the following theorem: Let $M$ be a K\"ahler-Einstein manifold with positive scalar curvature. If the initial metric has nonnegative bisectional curvature and positive at least at one point, then the K\"ahler Ricci flow will converge exponentially fast to a K\"ahler-Einstein metric with constant bisectional curvature. Such a result holds for K\"ahler-Einstein orbifolds.

Abstract:On a Fano manifold, we prove that the Kahler-Ricci flow starting from a Kahler metric in the anti-canonical class which is sufficiently close to a Kahler-Einstein metric must converge in a polynomial rate to a Kahler-Einstein metric. The convergence can not happen in general if we study the flow on the level of Kahler potentials. Instead we exploit the interpretation of the Ricci flow as the gradient flow of Perelman's \mu functional. This involves modifying the Ricci flow by a canonical family of gauges. In particular, the complex structure of the limit could be different in general. The main technical ingredient is a Lojasiewicz type inequality for Perelman's \mu functional near a critical point.

Remarks on Kahler Ricci Flow

Abstract: We study some estimates along the Kahler Ricci flow on Fano manifolds. Using these estimates, we show the convergence of Kahler Ricci flow directly if the $\alpha$-invariant of the canonical class is greater than $\frac{n}{n+1}$. Applying these convergence theorems, we can give a flow proof of Calabi conjecture on such Fano manifolds. In particular, the existence of Kahler Einstein metrics on a lot of Fano surfaces can be proved by flow method. Note that this geometric conclusion (based on the same assumption) was established earlier via elliptic method by G. Tian. However, a new proof based on Kahler Ricci flow should be still interesting in its own right.
